Tipton (leg) is expected to begin the 2026 regular season on the reserve/PUP list, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Tipton began training camp on the active/PUP list, so the wide receiver is eligible to be placed on the reserve/PUP list to start the season. Once the third-year player recovers from his tibia surgery and spends the required minimum four weeks on the PUP list, he will be eligible to return to the Saints for the remainder of the regular season.

The Dolphins waived Wease on Saturday.

Wease played a large role at wide receiver for the Dolphins' last three regular-season games in 2025. The wide receiver had an edge over all the new competition due to his experience, but it appears he will be unable to make the final cut. If Wease remains unclaimed through Monday's waiver process, there is a strong chance he will end up back with the Dolphins on the team's practice squad.

The Dolphins waived Edwards on Saturday.

Edwards did not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons. The running back logged one rush attempt in the Dolphins' preseason opener against the Commanders for a loss of one yard. The second-year player out of Michigan will now be subject to waivers through Sunday's cutdown day and into Monday. If Edwards goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any organization's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Dolphins waived Bennett on Saturday.

Bennett signed with the Dolphins on Wednesday after being waived by the Bears in mid-August. The running back was a substitute for Ollie Gordon (ribs) in Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons. Bennett, an undrafted free agent out of Kennesaw State, rushed five times for eight yards in the contest. He will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 23-year-old goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Pierce (ankle) is working out prior to Saturday's preseason game against the Lions but will not play, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

Pierce was activated from the Active/PUP list Thursday, but he is not ready to appear in a game just yet. He will keep building up over the next two weeks with an eye on suiting up for his team's Week 1 matchup with the Ravens.

Hayes (knee) underwent a procedure Saturday that will sideline him for the start of the 2026 regular season, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Hayes is a prime candidate to start the season on injured reserve. A cutdown day move to IR would see the cornerback sidelined for at least the first four games of the regular season. In Hayes' absence, another cornerback such as Damarion Williams may see an increased number of special teams snaps.

The Jaguars waived Burney on Saturday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Burney had a sack in Friday night's preseason finale against the Buccaneers. A 2023 sixth-round pick for the Raiders, Burney has not played in a regular-season game since the 2024 season. The linebacker will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If Burney goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any organization's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Dolphins waived Connor on Saturday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Conner signed with the Dolphins last Monday after being waived by the Jaguars. The undrafted free agent out of Troy did not record any box score stats throughout the 2026 preseason. Connor will now be subject to waivers through Monday, and if he goes unclaimed will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.

The Patriots waived Dial on Saturday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Dial played in all 17 games for the Patriots in 2024 before tearing his ACL in August of 2025. The cornerback was attempting to make a return to the franchise in 2026 but will not make the final cut. There is a good chance that if the 2024 sixth-rounder clears Monday's waivers, he will return to the Patriots' practice squad to begin the 2026 regular season.

The Patriots waived Dorner on Saturday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Dprimer signed with the Patriots in early May as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas. The wide receiver played in all three preseason contests for the team, catching four of his five targets for 37 yards. Dorner will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 22-year-old goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.
