  • Jonathan Jones DB | PHI

Commanders' Jonathan Jones: Being evaluated for concussion

Jones is undergoing a concussion evaluation and is questionable to return to Thursday's game against Dallas.

Jones was deemed questionable midway through the second quarter. Antonio Hamilton figures to get more defensive snaps if Jones is unable to return to action.

  • Jourdan Lewis CB | JAC

Jaguars' Jourdan Lewis: Reportedly done for the year

Lewis (foot) is slated to undergo season-ending surgery, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Lewis appear set to miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to a foot injury suffered Week 16 against the Broncos, which will pave the way for Montaric Brown (neck) to take over as Jacksonville's starting slot cornerback. Across 12 regular-season appearances in his inaugural campaign with the Jaguars, Lewis compiled 39 tackles (21 solo), 10 passes defensed (including two interceptions) and one fumble recovery.

  • Caelen Carson DB | DAL

Cowboys' Caelen Carson: Not playing Christmas Day

Carson (shoulder/hamstring) is inactive for Thursday's Week 17 game against Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Carson will miss his second straight game due to shoulder and hamstring issues. He was listed as limited in all three of Dallas' practices this week, so the second-year cornerback could return for next Sunday's season finale against the Giants. Trevon Diggs and Shavon Revel will be the Cowboys' starting outside cornerbacks Thursday.

  • Cowboys' Quinnen Williams: Available for Christmas matchup

Williams (concussion) is active for Thursday's Week 17 battle against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Williams did not play Sunday against the Chargers due to a concussion. He's since cleared the NFL's five-step protocol and is good to go for Christmas Day. Williams should take on his usual starting role that has resulted in 1.5 sacks since he joined the Cowboys in mid-November (though that entire sack total came in his team debut).

  • Jalen Tolbert WR | MIA

Cowboys' Jalen Tolbert: Active on Christmas Day

Tolbert is not among Dallas' inactives for Thursday's Week 17 game against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Tolbert was a healthy scratch each of the previous three weeks, but he'll be available Christmas Day. His opportunity comes as a result of Ryan Flournoy missing the contest due to a knee injury. Tolbert may still have a hard time getting on the field often, as CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, KaVontae Turpin and perhaps Jonathan Mingo are all above him in the WR pecking order.

  • Jonathan Mingo WR | DAL

Cowboys' Jonathan Mingo: Could have bigger role Thursday

Mingo is not among Dallas' inactives for Thursday's Week 17 game against the Commanders, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, and he could see an increased role with Ryan Flournoy (knee) out of action.

Mingo has had a quiet season so far, tallying one catch on three targets for 25 yards over four games. He'll still be behind CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and KaVontae Turpin in the WR pecking order Thursday, but Mingo could get a few more looks due to Flournoy's absence. Mingo has been a bit more involved of late anyway, notching 14 offensive snaps Week 15 and eight offensive snaps last Sunday against the Chargers.

  • Tyler Booker G | DAL

Cowboys' Tyler Booker: Ready to face Commanders

Booker (ankle) is active for Thursday's divisional matchup against Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Booker was initially listed as questionable to suit up Christmas Day, but the starting offensive lineman has now been cleared to suit up. The rookie first-round pick had been sidelined each of Dallas' last three games due to a high-ankle sprain.

  • Jaydon Blue RB | DAL

Cowboys' Jaydon Blue: Healthy scratch again Week 17

Blue (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Blue has fallen out of the Cowboys' running back rotation, as he hasn't played since Week 8. Dallas will carry just two running backs -- Javonte Williams and Malik Davis -- plus fullback Hunter Luepke into their Christmas Day matchup.

  • Commanders' Jacory Croskey-Merritt: Faces opportunity with Rodriguez out

Croskey-Merritt looks set to operate as Washington's lead backfield option Week 17 with Chris Rodriguez (illness) inactive for Thursday's contest against the Cowboys.

Croskey-Merritt will have a chance to operate in an expanded role in a favorable divisional matchup on Christmas Day, as he and Rodriguez have split backfield opportunities for Washington down the stretch of the regular season. With Rodriguez inactive due to an illness after having been added to the team's injury report Thursday morning, Croskey-Merritt could now handle a workload similar to what he saw Week 15 versus the Giants. Rodriguez couldn't face New York due to a groin injury, paving the way for Croskey-Merritt to log a career-high 18 carries for 96 yards and one score. Jeremy McNichols and Chase Edmonds are available as change-of-pace options behind Croskey-Merritt.

  • Cordale Flott CB | TEN

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Deemed limited again Thursday

Flott (knee) was estimated as a limited practice participant Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

New York didn't hold an actual practice Thursday, but this is nonetheless the second straight day Flott has been listed as a limited practice participant. The fourth-year cornerback hurt his knee Sunday against the Vikings and wasn't able to finish the game. His status for Sunday's game against Las Vegas is looking iffy, and either Deonte Banks -- who is dealing with a shoulder injury of his own -- or Korie Black would likely step in to start if Flott is ultimately ruled out.
