Pittsburgh signed Davis to a one-year contract Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Davis was cut by Las Vegas back in April, and now he'll be linking up with his fourth different team in as many years. All of two-time Pro Bowler Patrick Queen, 2024 third-rounder Payton Wilson, Malik Harrison and veteran Cole Holcomb are expected to contribute at inside linebacker for Pittsburgh in 2026, which doesn't leave much room for the free-agent signee Davis to make an immediate impact.

Coach Jeff Hafley said that the injury Salyer (undisclosed) sustained during practice Wednesday won't be a long-term issue, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Salyer was carted off the practice field Wednesday, so it's relieving news that he avoided anything too serious. Hafley also said that Salyer may miss practice next week, which could open the door for rookie sixth-rounder DJ Campbell to get more meaningful reps at guard.

Houston signed Hansen on Thursday.

The rookie tight end out of Connecticut is getting his first chance in the pros with the Texans. Over the course of the past three seasons with the Huskies, Hansen totaled 46 catches for 463 yards and four touchdowns in 40 games.

The Texans waived Walthall on Thursday.

Less than a month after Houston signed Walthall as an undrafted free agent, he's now on his way out. Unless he's claimed by another club during the current waiver period, he'll soon become a free agent again.

Pittsburgh waived Metayer on Thursday.

In a corresponding transaction, the Steelers signed veteran tight end Robert Tonyan to a one-year contract. Metayer, meanwhile, is now on track to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

Ezeiruaku (hip) participated in some drills during the Cowboys' OTAs, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Per Archer, Ezeiruaku was not taking part in a team session, so there's evidently still some work to do before he's back to full strength. As long as he's healthy, he projects to play a major role on the edge in 2026 along with offseason trade acquisition Rashan Gary and rookie first-rounder Malachi Lawrence.

Bland (foot) is expected to be ready to practice during the Cowboys' training camp in July, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Bland, who underwent surgery on an injured left foot back in January, was moving very well laterally as Dallas held OTAs, per Archer. Once he's at full strength again, he figures to play a big role on the boundary for the Cowboys in 2026.

The Vikings signed Rudolph on Thursday, Rob Kleifield of the team's official site reports.

A little over a week after he was waived by Seattle, Rudolph is now getting another shot with a new club. The undrafted rookie is not physically imposing, but he did demonstrate some ability as a kick returner at Toledo, which could help him get more opportunities early on.

Minnesota signed Briscoe (undisclosed) on Thursday, Rob Kleifield of the Vikings' official site reports.

There were questions about Briscoe's health when he was waived by Seattle in May, but he's presumably in good shape now. The undrafted rookie boasts good size, and he caught 43 passes for 779 yards and seven touchdowns in his senior season at Cal Poly in 2025.

The Jets signed Scott on Thursday, Amanda Vogt of the team's official site reports.

Per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, Scott has cut some weight and recently worked out with the club as a wide receiver before being signed. He's served as a tight end in the past as well. He'll probably need to make a great early impression with the coaching staff to have any chance at a spot on the final 53-man roster for 2026.
