  • Geno Smith QB | LV

Raiders' Geno Smith: Officially ruled out for Sunday

Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Chiefs.

With Smith out for the contest, coach Pete Carroll noted Friday (without naming a QB starter) that Kenny Pickett and Aidan O'Connell would be in a rotation Sunday, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports. In his first season with the 2-14 Raiders, Smith threw for 3,025 yards to go along with 19 TDs and 17 picks in 15 games. Though the veteran signal-caller currently is under contract with Las Vegas through the 2027 season, it's very possible that the team will be using one of the top picks in the 2026 NFL Draft on a QB.

  • Jordyn Brooks LB | MIA

Dolphins' Jordyn Brooks: Iffy to play Week 18

Brooks (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Brooks missed the first two practices of Week 18 prep while tending to a hamstring injury he sustained against the Buccaneers in Week 17. The NFL's leading tackler earned the questionable tag after logging a limited session Friday, and his status will be officially known when the Dolphins announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Brooks has yet to miss a game this season, but K.J. Britt and Willie Gay would be poised to start at linebacker if Brooks is unable to play.

  • Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Doubtful for Week 18

Wicks (concussion) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Wicks wasn't able to practice this week after he made an early exit from last Saturday's loss to the Ravens due to a concussion. With his third absence of the campaign imminent, he'll end his third regular season with a 30-332-2 line on 46 targets in 14 appearances. Wicks' next chance for game action is in the wild-card round on either Jan. 10 or 11.

  • Alim McNeill DT | DET

Lions' Alim McNeill: Ruled out for Sunday

McNeill (abdomen) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears.

McNeill was unable to practice at all this week due to the abdominal injury he sustained in the Christmas Day loss to the Vikings. Tyleik Williams and Roy Lopez are likely in line for an increased snap share on the defensive line in the starting defensive tackle's absence. McNeill will end his 2025 campaign with 14 tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defensed over 10 games.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Officially questionable for Week 18

Mostert (knee/ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Paul Gutierrez of the Raiders' official site reports.

Mostert produced a FP/DNP/LP practice log for Week 18 prep while managing knee and ankle injuries, and his status for Sunday's game may not be officially known until the Raiders announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Dylan Laube would serve as the Raiders' main returner on kickoffs and join Zamir White as the rotational backfield options behind Ashton Jeanty if Mostert is not cleared to play.

  • Thomas Harper SAF | DET

Lions' Thomas Harper: Ruled out with concussion

Harper (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears.

Harper upgraded to a limited participant in Thursday's practice but will be unable to make the jump to full participation and clear the league's concussion protocol in time for Sunday's divisional showdown. With Jalen Mills likely set to start at free safety for the Lions in Sunday's contest, Harper ends the season with 37 tackles (26 solo) and five passes defensed, including one interception, over 12 games.

  • Jets' Brandon Stephens: Questionable for Week 18

Stephens (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Stephens popped up on Thursday's injury report as a limited practice participant due to a neck issue. He was given the questionable tag for Sunday's regular-season finale despite not practicing Friday, and his status may not be officially known until the Jets announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Qwan'tez Stiggers (knee) has already been ruled out, so Tre Brown and Keidron Smith could be the Jets' two starting outside cornerbacks if Stephens also doesn't play.

  • Alex Anzalone MLB | DET

Lions' Alex Anzalone: Ruled out for Week 18

Anzalone (concussion/personal) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears.

Anzalone was able to upgrade to a limited participant Thursday before once again downgrading to a non-participant in Friday's practice, as a personal status was also added to the report. Malcolm Rodriguez and Grant Stuard will likely see an increased snap share at outside linebacker in the starter's absence. Between the linebacker experiencing private troubles, working his way back from the concussion, and the Lions being eliminated from playoff contention, it seems the team determined it best to end the 31-year-old's season a game early. Anzalone finishes the 2025 campaign with 95 tackles (52 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and nine passes defensed (including one interception) over 16 games.

  • Myles Garrett DE | CLE

Browns' Myles Garrett: Officially cleared for Week 18

Garrett (hip) doesn't carry a designation into Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Garrett ended Week 18 prep with back-to-back limited practices, which was enough for him to fade an injury tag for Sunday's regular-season finale. The veteran pass rusher sits at 22.0 sacks through 16 regular-season games and is one sack shy from surpassing Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt for the NFL's single-season record.

  • Cowboys' Shavon Revel: Season over due to concussion

Revel (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Revel was unable to practice all week due to the concussion he sustained in the Christmas Day win over the Commanders. After getting a late start to his rookie campaign due to an ACL tear he suffered in college, the cornerback will end the regular season with 35 tackles (23 solo) and three passes defensed over seven games. With Trevon Diggs recently waived by the Cowboys, the team will likely start Reddy Steward at outside cornerback opposite Caelen Carson and move Markquese Bell or Alijah Clark to slot cornerback for Sunday's game.
