  • DJ Giddens RB | IND

Colts' DJ Giddens: Healthy scratch for Week 3

Giddens (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Giddens was a full participant in practice after being unavailable for Week 2 against the Chiefs due to a knee injury. He'll be a healthy scratch for Sunday's AFC South showdown, with Seth McGowan being the lone depth option out of the backfield behind bellcow running back Jonathan Taylor. Giddens' next opportunity to play is Week 4 against the Commanders on Sunday, Oct. 4.

  • Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Inactive for Week 3

Mitchell (finger) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Mitchell was listed as questionable for Week 3 after sustaining a finger injury last week, and it turns out he is not ready to take the field Sunday. Mitchell -- who garnered 12 targets last week -- joins fellow pass catchers Omar Cooper (ankle) and Mason Taylor (thumb) on the sidelines, so Kenyon Sadiq and Isaiah Williams figure to see some extra opportunities behind top option Garrett Wilson.

  • Albert Regis DT | JAC

Jaguars' Albert Regis: Inactive against Pats

Regis (elbow) is inactive Week 3 against the Patriots.

Regis amassed a combine 18 snaps over the first two weeks of his rookie season while working in a depth role at defensive tackle. He only saw the practice field on a limited basis Friday, setting the stage for an inactive status. The Texas A&M product will look to return Week 4 against Cincinnati.

  • Brandon Pili DT | SEA

Seahawks' Brandon Pili: Won't play against Washington

Pili (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Pili drew the questionable tag for Sunday after ending Week 3 prep with back-to-back limited practices. He has not progressed enough in the league's concussion protocol to play against Washington, and his next chance to take the field is Week 4 against the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 4. Rylie Mills and Mike Morris are both in line to see a slight bump in defensive snaps due to Pili's absence.

  • Steelers' Brock Hoffman: Starting at right guard for Week 3

Hoffman will start at right guard against the Bengals on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Hoffman operated in a depth role through the first two regular-season games, but he'll work with the first-team offense Sunday as the Steelers overhaul the right side of the offensive line, with Max Iheanachor starting at right tackle. Spencer Anderson and Dylan Cook will be the depth options behind Hoffman and Iheanachor for Week 3.

  • Max Iheanachor OT | PIT

Steelers' Max Iheanachor: Making first career start

Iheanachor will start at right tackle against the Bengals on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Iheanachor played a total of four offensive snaps through the first two games of the regular season while serving as a depth option, but the rookie first-rounder will be a starter Sunday for the first time in his short NFL career. The Steelers are overhauling their entire right side of the offensive line, with Brock Hoffman getting the nod at right guard next to Iheanachor.

  • DJ Moore WR | BUF

Bills' DJ Moore: Expected to play Sunday

Moore (shoulder) is in line to suit up for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

When Moore was listed as questionable for Week 3 action Friday, head coach Joe Brady told Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News that the wide receiver would be a game-time decision. Moore had sandwiched limited sessions around an absence Thursday prior to those comments due to an AC joint sprain that he suffered in Week 2 against the Lions, but Schefter's report Sunday morning indicates that he'll avoid the Bills' inactive list about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Chiefs' Chamarri Conner: Won't play against Miami

Conner (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Conner was limited in practice all week by a knee injury and initially drew the doubtful tag following Friday's session. Now that he's been officially ruled out, Jaden Hicks figures to join Alohi Gilman as the Chiefs' starting safeties for Sunday's game, with Xavier Nwankpa providing depth at the position. Conner's next opportunity to play is Week 4 against the Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 4.

  • Texans' Jadeveon Clowney: Working through bone bruise in knee

Clowney has been progressing in his recovery from a bone bruise in his knee that has ruled him out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Clowney failed to participate in any of the three practices during Week 3 prep, resulting in him being ruled out for a second consecutive game. A return to practice, even in a limited capacity, would have the veteran pass rusher potentially on track to return for a Week 4 home tilt against the Cowboys on Sunday, Oct. 4. In Clowney's absence, Sabastian Harsh and Dominique Robinson will both see a slight uptick in defensive snaps while operating in rotational roles behind starters Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson.

  • Jayden Daniels QB | WAS

Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Expected back within three weeks

Daniels (elbow) is expected to return to action for the Commanders in "three weeks or sooner," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn had already noted Friday that Daniels wasn't in consideration for a stint on injured reserve, but Rapoport's report offers a clearer timeline for the third-year quarterback's return to the lineup. Marcus Mariota will start Sunday's game against the Seahawks and will most likely continue to direct the Commanders offense in Week 4 versus the Colts, but Daniels could be a realistic candidate to rejoin the lineup thereafter. Rapoport notes that whenever he returns, Daniels will wear a brace to protect the dislocated elbow on his left (non-throwing) arm.
