The Lions signed Blackshear on Tuesday.

Blackshear spent time on the practice squads of the Titans, Steelers and Jets last year but didn't end up playing in a regular-season game. He'll now have the chance to compete for a spot on the Lions' 53-man roster as a depth backfield option and contributor on special teams.

The Bills have been working Hoecht (Achilles) into full team drills since the start of training camp, Tim Graham of The Athletic reports.

Hoecht tore his right Achilles during the Bills' Week 9 contest against the Chiefs. That was just his second appearance of the 2025 regular season after he missed the first six games while serving a suspension. He's drawn praise from his teammates and coaching staff for his approach to his rehab, and Hoecht is hoping to be available for the Bills' regular-season opener against the Texans on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Jets waived Scott (undisclosed) from injured reserve Tuesday with an injury settlement, per the NFL's transaction log.

Scott was set to miss the entire 2026 season after reverting to the Jets' injured reserve Saturday. With the settlement, he'll now have the chance to sign with a team once he's fully recovered from his unspecified injury.

Bullard worked off to the side in Tuesday's training camp due to hamstring soreness, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The injury doesn't seem to be a long-term concern, though Bullard's practice participation leading up to the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Seahawks on Saturday, Aug. 15 is worth monitoring. He appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2025, and finished with 26 tackles (12 solo) and two pass defenses. Bullard projects to operate in a rotational role at defensive end behind starters Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams.

Overshown was a limited participant in Tuesday's training camp practice due to soreness in his legs and lower body, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

The limitations on Overshown's practice reps was a cautionary move by the Cowboys, and the 2023 third-rounder's injuries aren't a long-term concern. Overshown missed the first nine games of the 2025 regular season while recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL that he sustained in December of 2024 and then missed the final two contests while in the league's concussion protocol.

The Browns waived Anderson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday.

Because Anderson was waived/injured, he would revert to the Browns' injured reserve if he were to clear waivers. That would force the LSU product to sit out for the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Browns.

Cooks signed a contract with the Panthers on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Cooks was with the Saints on a reserve/future contract before being waived by the team in late April following the 2026 NFL Draft. He'll stay within the division in Carolina, and although he's considered a longshot to make the 53-man roster, a strong training camp could be enough for Cooks to stick around on the practice squad. He last saw NFL regular-season action in 2024 with the Jaguars, when he played two games and logged 14 snaps (10 offense, four special teams) without showing up on the box score otherwise.

Sanders, who worked with the Browns' first-team offense Tuesday for the third time in camp, had his best day thus far with that group, according to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.

The report notes that in the process Sanders was "was largely on target and added a few high-level throws, which has become a pattern." Meanwhile, fellow QB Deshaun Watson -- who has been alternating first-team reps with Sanders by day -- continues to to deal with inconsistent accuracy, per Petrak. Watson will presumably handle first-team reps in the team's next practice, with the Browns' ongoing signal-caller competition likely to extend into the preseason. Cleveland's exhibition opener is Aug. 15 against the Bears.

The Panthers signed Taylor to a contract Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Taylor was not on an NFL team roster or practice squad during the 2025 season. He played for the Columbus Aviators in the UFL before a stint in the CFL with the Ottawa Redblacks, eventually being released in May. Now in Carolina, Taylor will have the opportunity to audition for a spot on the Panthers' 53-man roster or practice squad by the end of training camp.

The Panthers waived/injured Smith (undisclosed) on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Both Smith and Gabriel Benyard were let go Tuesday in moves that corresponded with the Panthers signing wideouts Roc Taylor and Elijah Cooks. Because Smith was cut with an injury designation, he would revert to the Panthers' injured reserve if he goes through waivers unclaimed. That would force the 2024 fifth-rounder to sit for the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Carolina.
