  • Malik Nabers WR | NYG

Giants' Malik Nabers: Spotted at practice Wednesday

Nabers (shoulder) was seen participating in Wednesday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Nabers battled through a shoulder injury in Monday's loss to the Rams, and his presence at Wednesday's practice is a good sign for his trajectory heading into Week 3 against the Titans. That said, the Giants held only a walk-through Wednesday, so Nabers' status won't be solidified until later in the week.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Panthers' AJ Dillon: Set for No. 2 role sans Brooks

Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Dillon will have a "great opportunity" to serve as the top backup to Chuba Hubbard after Jonathon Brooks (core) was placed on injured reserve, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

According to Person, Canales said that he expects Brooks to miss around 6-to-8 weeks, clearing the way for Dillon to move up a rung on the depth chart for an extended period. Though Carolina brought in veteran running back Austin Ekeler for a workout Wednesday, he doesn't look to be an imminent threat to Dillon for the No. 2 role, with Mike Kaye of ESPN.com noting that Ekeler won't be immediately signed. In limited snaps behind Hubbard and Brooks through the Panthers' first two games, Dillon -- who has averaged 4.1 yards per carry over parts of six NFL seasons -- has gained 25 yards on eight totes.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

49ers' Mike Evans: Won't practice Wednesday

Evans (hip) won't practice Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Coach Kyle Shanahan already said Monday that Evans will be carefully managed this week, so the veteran's lack of participation in practice Wednesday is not overly surprising. Evans left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a hip issue. Friday's injury report will give the best intel on Evans' status for the Week 3 matchup against the Cardinals. The 49ers' receiver depth is being tested early, with Demarcus Robinson (ankle) joining De'Zhaun Stribling (ankle), Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Christian Kirk (calf) among the injured wideouts.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Won't return to practice this week

Head coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday that the Seahawks won't open Charbonnet's (knee) practice window this week, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Charbonnet kicked off the season on the reserve/PUP list due to the left ACL tear that he sustained in the divisional round of the playoffs back on Jan. 17. Due to new rules for players on the reserve/PUP list, he's eligible to practice as soon as Week 3 prep and be activated for Week 5 action, but Seattle won't go that route with the running back just yet. Macdonald relayed to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune last Friday that the team is closing in on a decision for Charbonnet to resume practicing, so that appears to be on the horizon for the fourth-year pro. Jadarian Price (shoulder), Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will man the backfield until Charbonnet is ready for game action.

  • Jalen Coker WR | CAR

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Limited with ankle issue Wednesday

Coker (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

An ankle injury slowed Coker in practice last week as well, but he was able to play through it and register eight grabs in the win over the Falcons. He was limited Wednesday, and this could be the norm for Coker during the week until he's back to 100 percent. At this stage, his availability for Sunday's game against the Browns does not appear to be in question.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Chargers' David Njoku: Lands on IR

The Chargers placed Njoku (fibula) on injured reserve Wednesday.

Njoku will be sidelined for at least the Chargers' next four games after sustaining a fibula injury in Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Raiders. Fellow tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm) was able to avoid placement on IR but has already been ruled out for the Chargers' Week 3 contest in Buffalo, leaving Oronde Gadsden as the top option on the depth chart heading into that game.

  • Jadarian Price RB | SEA

Seahawks' Jadarian Price: Set to practice Wednesday

Price (shoulder) will practice this week, coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.

MacDonald would not elaborate on the rookie's level of participation, but Price will be practicing this week after hurting his shoulder in the Week 2 win over the Cardinals. Even if Price is limited Wednesday, he will have the chance to ramp up going into the weekend. Macdonald added that Zach Charbonnet (knee) will not be returning this week, leaving Seattle with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani as the primary backfield options if Price is not able to play Sunday.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: On track to practice in Week 3

Dobbins, who exited Sunday's 20-13 win over the Jaguars due to a hamstring injury, is expected to practice this week, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Dobbins logged 21 snaps and carried 10 times for 36 yards Sunday before checking out of the game late in the third quarter when the hamstring issue cropped up. Initial evaluations on Dobbins' hamstring indicated that he avoided any sort of major injury, and he looks like he'll have a chance at suiting up this weekend against the Rams if he continues to make progress over the next few days. The Broncos will issue their first Week 3 injury report later Wednesday, when the extent of Dobbins' participation in practice will be revealed.

  • RJ Harvey RB | DEN

Broncos' RJ Harvey: Making progress in recovery

Harvey is continuing to make progress in his recovery from the hamstring injury that sidelined him for the Broncos' Week 2 win over the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Harvey appears to have made some improvement heading into Week 3, but his practice participation Wednesday through Friday will ultimately determine whether he plays this Sunday against the Rams. The top three running backs on the Denver depth chart are all tending to injuries, as starter J.K. Dobbins (hamstring) made an early exit from this past Sunday's game, while rookie Jonah Coleman emerged from the contest with an ankle sprain.

  • Jonah Coleman RB | DEN

Broncos' Jonah Coleman: On mend from ankle sprain

Coleman is tending to a sprained ankle, which he sustained in Sunday's 20-13 win over Jacksonville, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

With RJ Harvey (hamstring) sitting out the Week 2 win and with J.K. Dobbins (hamstring) missing the entire fourth quarter, Coleman took on an expanded role out of the backfield, finishing with 58 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 13 touches (10 carries, three receptions). He appears to have emerged from that game with a health concern of his own, making the practice activity of each of Denver's top three running backs worthy of monitoring leading up this coming Sunday's game versus the Rams. According to Schefter, Harvey is making good progress in his recovery, while Dobbins avoided a major setback and is expected to practice in some capacity this week.
