  • Kerby Joseph DB | DET

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Placed on IR

The Lions placed Joseph (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Joseph will miss the remainder of the regular season due to his knee injury, but he could be a candidate to return to action during the playoffs, if Detroit progresses to the postseason. Thomas Harper is set to handle a starting role at free safety versus the Steelers on Sunday, and for the remainder of the regular season, with Joseph sidelined.

  • Ravens' Teddye Buchanan: Officially placed on IR

The Ravens placed Buchanan (ACL) on injured reserve Saturday.

Buchanan will miss the remainder of the 2025 campaign due to a torn right ACL suffered in Week 15 against the Bengals, so his placement on IR was anticipated. In Buchanan's stead, Trenton Simpson will now inherit a starting role at inside linebacker alongside Roquan Smith beginning Sunday versus the Patriots.

  • Theo Wease Jr. WR | MIA

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Elevated for Week 16

The Dolphins have elevated Wease from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Wease will perhaps get an opportunity to make his regular-season debut versus Cincinnati on Sunday. If that happens, expect the undrafted rookie out of Missouri to contribute in a reserve capacity for Miami in what will be quarterback Quinn Ewers' first career start.

  • Vikings' Gavin Bartholomew: Downgraded to out for Week 16

Bartholomew (back) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Bartholomew was initially listed as questionable for Sunday's game after logging back-to-back full practice sessions, but he nonetheless won't come off the reserve/PUP list yet. The rookie sixth-round pick's next opportunity to retake the field will come in Week 17 versus the Lions on Thursday night.

  • Ty Chandler RB | NO

Vikings' Ty Chandler: Ruled out for Week 16

Chandler (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Chandler managed to practice in full throughout Week 16 prep, but he nonetheless won't yet come off IR. His next chance to retake the field will come in Week 17 versus the Lions on Thursday, Dec. 25.

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

Bills' Mecole Hardman: Activated from IR, still Q

The Bills activated Hardman (calf) from injured reserve Saturday, and he remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Hardman is now eligible to play in Week 16, but the final word on his status may not arrive until roughly 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If cleared to suit up versus Cleveland, expect Hardman to handle a depth role at wide receiver and in the return game.

  • Mike Badgley K | BUF

Bills' Michael Badgley: Elevated for Week 16

The Bills have elevated Badgley from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Badgley is set to serve as Buffalo's starting kicker for Week 16 due to Matt Prater (quadriceps) being ruled out and Tyler Bass (hip) out for the season. Given that Prater is considered week-to-week, Badgley will have a chance to secure a multi-game role as the Bills' fill-in kicker as long as he's able to demonstrate accuracy versus Cleveland on Sunday.

  • Colts' DeForest Buckner: Officially questionable for Monday

Buckner (neck) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the 49ers.

Buckner began Week 16 with two consecutive full practices, but he was a non-participant during Saturday's session. In order to suit up Monday, he will first need to be activated from IR by Indianapolis. Head coach Shane Steichen has stated that he expects Buckner to be available for Monday night's matchup.

  • Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Elevated for Week 16

The Buccaneers have elevated Pierre-Paul to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday's game against Carolina, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Pierre-Paul inked with Tampa Bay's practice squad Dec. 8 and will now get a chance to contribute for the team. The 26-year-old veteran stands to handle a depth role on defense during Sunday's key divisional matchup against the Panthers, after which he will revert to the practice squad.

  • Bears' Maurice Alexander: Elevated to face Packers

The Bears have elevated Alexander from the practice squad to the active roster for Saturday's game against Green Bay.

Alexander will get a chance to make his regular-season debut for Chicago due to both Rome Odunze (foot) and Luther Burden (ankle) being sidelined Saturday. Expect Alexander to handle a reserve role on offense while potentially also contributing on special teams.
