Omar Cooper Jr. WR | NYJ
Jets' Omar Cooper: No targets in Week 8
Cooper did not garner a target during Sunday's 38-33 loss to the Raiders.
Cooper entered Week 8 having topped 100 receiving yards with a touchdown in back-to-back games, so Sunday's performance was especially disappointing. The rookie wideout was overshadowed by Adonai Mitchell (7-142-1) and Garrett Wilson (6-83-0) in the game, and it'll be hard to predict his workload ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Surpassed by rookie in win over KC
Dobbins carried the ball seven times for 13 yards in Sunday's 28-24 win over Kansas City.
While the veteran RB got the start, by the end of the game Dobbins had fully given way to rookie Jonah Coleman, who wound up delivering 104 scrimmage yards on 15 touches and scored the game-winning touchdown. With RJ Harvey (knee) on IR, Dobbins will still have a role in the Denver backfield, but Coleman made a compelling case Sunday to become the team's new No. 1 back. Dobbins should at least be more productive in Week 9, even on limited volume, against a Panthers defense that's among the worst in the league against the run.

Jonah Coleman RB | DEN
Broncos' Jonah Coleman: Makes strong case for top job
Coleman carried the ball 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown and caught four of five targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 28-24 win over Kansas City.
With RJ Harvey (knee) on the shelf, Coleman saw a season-high 15 touches compared to J.K. Dobbins' seven, and the rookie was instrumental in the Broncos' fourth-quarter comeback. After a Harrison Butker missed field goal gave Denver great field position, Coleman was a one-man show on a two-play drive, taking a short pass from Bo Nix and turning it into a 51-yard gain, before punching in a five-yard TD on the other side of the two-minute warning. Dobbins will still mix in on early downs, but Coleman may have just seized control of the backfield for the Broncos. He'll look to solidify his spot in Week 9 against a Panthers defense that's among the worst in the league against the run.

Khalil Shakir WR | BUF
Bills' Khalil Shakir: Has TD called back, finishes with 5-64
Shakir caught five of six targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 36-10 win over the Ravens.
Shakir initially appeared to get in the end zone for a six-yard touchdown early in the first quarter, but he was ruled out at the one-yard line after review. Josh Allen then punched in the one-yard touchdown two plays later. On the day, Shakir paced the Bills with his five grabs and tied for second on the team in targets, one behind DJ Moore. Shakir has yet to hit 100 yards in a game this season and has just one touchdown, settling in as a low-ceiling WR4 in fantasy, especially when both Moore and Dalton Kincaid are healthy.

Mike Gesicki TE | CIN
Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Reaches end zone in OT victory
Gesicki caught four of six targets for 76 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 43-36 overtime win against the Titans.
Gesicki was able to reach the end zone for the fifth straight game, connecting with Joe Burrow for a 25-yard score in the fourth quarter. The tight end's four catches and 76 receiving yards were both his highest totals since Week 1 versus Tampa Bay. Gesicki has now caught 17 of 24 targets for 241 yards and six scores over seven contests to open the regular season.

Blake Corum RB | LAR
Rams' Blake Corum: Leads ground attack in win
Corum rushed 11 times for 73 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target in the Rams' 24-9 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
Corum led the Rams in rushing yards despite logging five fewer carries than Kyren Williams, and like the latter, Corum was able to get into the end zone. Corum's score came early in the third quarter on a winding 23-yard run, his second in as many games. The third-year back now has double-digit carries in consecutive games for the second time this season, and he's averaging a career-best 5.2 yards per carry heading into a Week 9 road matchup against the Commanders next Sunday.

Bo Nix QB | DEN
Broncos' Bo Nix: Engineers another fourth-quarter comeback
Nix completed 20 of 32 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 28-24 win over Kansas City. He added four rushing yards on three carries and threw a two-point conversion to Jaylen Waddle.
The Broncos were staring at a 24-13 deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but late comebacks are nothing new for Nix. The QB hit Nate Adkins for a two-yard score with about nine minutes left before connecting with Jonah Coleman on a 51-yard catch and run to set up the game-winning TD plunge by the rookie RB just after the two-minute warning. It's the 15th time that Nix has led Denver on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime, the most by any quarterback in the first three seasons of his career since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. While he's thrown multiple TDs just twice in the first eight games of the season, Nix has gone five straight contests without tossing an INT. He'll take a 9:3 TD:INT into a Week 9 road tilt against the Panthers.
-
Rico Dowdle RB | PIT
Steelers' Rico Dowdle: Rushing TD in big win
Dowdle rushed 15 times for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 27-6 win over the Browns on Sunday.
Dowdle finished just two carries behind Jaylen Warren on the afternoon, and although his backfield mate significantly outpaced him in yardage, the former made his fantasy mark when he opened the scoring on the day with a nine-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Dowdle recorded new season highs in rush attempts and rushing yards as the Steelers had the luxury of leaning heavily on the ground attack, but Warren remains the backfield's clear No. 1 option heading into the Week 9 bye.
-
KC Concepcion WR | CLE
Browns' KC Concepcion: Comes back to Earth in Week 8 loss
Concepcion caught three of four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 27-6 loss to the Steelers.
After a breakout game last Sunday against the Titans, which saw Concepcion record eight grabs for 129 yards on 10 targets, the rookie wideout came crashing back down against a divisional foe. Concepcion's four targets were a distant fourth on the team behind Harold Fannin (12), Denzel Boston (11) and Dylan Sampson (eight), and his four looks were good for just a 10.3 percent target share. Concepcion will try to rebound next Sunday against the Saints, but he's shown little upside, with zero touchdowns and just two games with more than 50 receiving yards.
-
Josh Downs WR | IND
Colts' Josh Downs: Reaches paydirt in Week 8
Downs caught four of five targets for 23 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 42-7 loss to the Jaguars.
Downs was able to reel in four or more passes for the fourth time this season and second time in the last three weeks. Downs was on the receiving end of the team's only score on the day, reeling in a six-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Jones in the third quarter for the wideout's first score of the year. Downs has now caught 30 of 51 targets for 330 yards and a touchdown over eight contests to open the 2026 campaign, and after he requested a trade this week, he may be wearing a new uniform the next time he appears in a game.
