Trotter produced 11 tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks and two total tackles for loss, and added a pass defensed for a 38-yard pick-six during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Bengals.

Despite a disappointing season-opening loss, Trotter had a field day. The linebacker was a disruptive force, producing a game-high tackle total. Trotter also recorded a late third-quarter pick-six on Joe Burrow that narrowed the Buccaneers' deficit to a touchdown at the time. The second-round rookie out of Missouri put together an outstanding first game, with Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reporting that Trotter is the only player since sacks became an official stat in 1982 to record a sack and a pick-six in his NFL debut.

Hooker was diagnosed with a forearm fracture after undergoing tests Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The safety left Sunday's loss to the Giants in the fourth quarter and did not return. He seems likely to miss at least two weeks, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News. P.J. Locke and Markquese Bell would be the next two up at safety if Hooker has to sit for an extended period.

Hand suffered a torn quadriceps in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Steelers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Hand will be forced to miss the remainder of the season while recovering from surgery. In his absence, Maason Smith will have the opportunity to carve out a more significant role for himself on the defensive line with Atlanta.

Kolar played 43 snaps (30 on offense, 13 on special teams) without showing up in the box score otherwise during the Chargers' 26-14 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Kolar and David Njoku tied for the most offensive snaps among Chargers tight ends Sunday with Oronde Gadsden (10 snaps) a distant third. Kolar did not see a target from Justin Herbert during Sunday's loss, though that's not entirely surprising considering he posted a 10-142-2 line (on 15 targets) across 17 regular-season games with the Ravens last year. Gadsden and Njoku figure to operate as the Chargers' pass-catching tight ends this season, with Kolar more heavily involved as a blocker and in goal-line packages as an occasional red-zone threat.

Gray (concussion) is trending toward playing in Tennessee's Week 2 matchup with Philadelphia, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Wyatt was citing Tennessee head coach Robert Saleh, who also said that Gray still needs to clear the concussion protocol. The linebacker got into a UTV accident on Labor Day weekend but avoided a serious injury. Gray broke out in 2025, recording 164 tackles (97 solo) and four pass breakups.

Harris caught three of six targets for 20 yards in Sunday's loss to Arizona.

Harris tied for the second-most targets on his team, but he couldn't do much with those looks. Fellow wideout Quentin Johnston didn't do any better, catching just two of his six targets for 17 yards, yet both wideouts might be asked to step up if Ladd McConkey (ribs) isn't able to play this coming Sunday versus Las Vegas. Harris also logged nine special-teams snaps Sunday, but he wasn't a major contributor in that regard last season.

Watt made four solo tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and had one pass defensed for a 35-yard pick-six in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Falcons.

Watt turned back the clock for a vintage masterclass in Sunday's game, scoring a 35-yard touchdown in the second quarter off a Cooper Rush interception that turned out to be the difference in the contest. The edge rusher already has over a quarter of his 2025 sack total (7.0) after just one week of regular-season play. It is safe to say Watt has fully recovered from the lung injury that plagued him throughout the end of the 2025 campaign.

Bourne caught all eight of his targets for 75 yards during the Cardinals' 26-14 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

It was a nice Cardinals debut for Bourne, with five of his catches going for 10-plus yards. He led all Arizona wide receivers in targets, catches and yards and finished behind tight end Trey McBride in all of those categories. It was Bourne's most productive outing since Week 5 of the 2025 season as a member of the 49ers, and he could be emerging as a preferred target for Jacoby Brissett over fellow wideouts Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson. Up next for Bourne and the Cardinals is a Week 2 NFC West tilt against the Super Bowl champion Seahawks on Sept. 20.

Jones had 12 carries for 40 yards and one touchdown and didn't catch his only target during Sunday's 39-22 win against the Packers.

Jones started and played 30 of 65 offensive snaps, while position mate Jordan Mason came off the bench and logged 29. Because Mason was able to rip off a 28-yard run in the fourth quarter, his 15 rushes went for 59 yards, and both backs scored a TD from inside the 5-yard line. In order to keep the 31-year old Jones fresh, the Vikings likely will continue with a timeshare in the backfield, though a thumb issue Mason picked up Sunday could mean a bit less work for him in the short term.

Nussmeier (coach's decision) is inactive as the emergency third quarterback for Monday night's game against the Broncos.

Nussmeier will be the reserve option behind Patrick Mahomes and Justin Fields. The seventh-round rookie out of LSU will only be able to play if both Mahomes and Fields exit the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
