• Blackhawks' Anton Khudobin: Returned to AHL affiliate

  Khudobin was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Saturday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports. Khudobin was recalled while Petr Mrazek was out with a groin injury, but with Mrazek back in action, Khudobin is no longer needed in Chicago. He gave up six goals on 28 shots Thursday as the Blackhawks fell 6-1 in his lone start for Chicago.

  Khudobin stopped 22 of 28 shots in the Blackhawks' 6-1 loss to the Capitals on Thursday. In his first start of the 2022-23 season, Khudobin did not have his best showing, allowing six goals on 28 shots to take his first loss of the season. This is his first start as a member of the Blackhawks and his first appearance since January of last season. Khudobin should remain the backup for the Blackhawks as long as Petr Mrazek is out with a groin injury.

  Khudobin was promoted from AHL Rockford on Wednesday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Petr Mrazek suffered yet another groin injury during Tuesday's loss to the Bruins, so Khudobin could be in for an extended stay with the big club. Khudobin has yet to make his Blackhawks debut since being acquired by Chicago at the trade deadline, but he could do so during the team's upcoming five-game road trip, which begins Thursday in Nashville.

  Khudobin was assigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Khudobin was the backup goalie behind Petr Mrazek on Saturday in Chicago's 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay. The former's demotion to the minors could bode well for the availability of Alex Stalock (illness) ahead of Tuesday's contest against Boston.

  Khudobin was recalled from AHL Rockford on Saturday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Khudobin was dealt from the Stars at the trade deadline and has now been recalled by the Blackhawks with Alex Stalock (illness) out of the lineup. Petr Mrazek got the start Friday in a 4-3 overtime loss to Florida, so it's possible Khudobin will get the Saturday start in Tampa Bay. Khudobin was 3-4-1 with a 3.64 GAA and .879 save percentage last season with Dallas. He has spent all of the 2022-23 campaign at the AHL level, going 13-4-4 with a 2.89 GAA and .899 save percentage for Texas.
