Domingue was recalled from AHL Hartford on Saturday. Domingue played in one NHL game this season after Igor Shesterkin suffered a lower-body injury in early November. The 32-year-old Domingue stopped 25 shots in a 4-1 win over Minnesota on Nov. 9 but spent the remainder of the season in the AHL. He will be the third-string goaltender in the postseason behind Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.

Domingue signed a one-way, one-year extension with the Rangers on Sunday, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports. The deal carries an AAV of $775,000. Domingue has made one NHL start this season, stopping 25 of 26 shots in a win. The 32-year-old Domingue figures to serve as organizational depth again in 2024-25 behind Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.

Domingue was called up by the Rangers on Friday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today. Domingue was returned to AHL Hartford earlier in the day for salary cap reasons. With Igor Shesterkin (lower body) and Jonathan Quick (upper body) both questionable for Sunday's home contest against Columbus, Domingue might dress as the starter or backup. He got the start Thursday, stopping 25 of 26 shots in a 4-1 win over Minnesota.

Domingue was named the starter as Igor Shesterkin (lower body) and Jonathan Quick (upper body) were unavailable to play. Look for Domingue to be recalled if either Shesterkin or Quick are unable to play Sunday versus Columbus.

Domingue made 25 saves in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild. Making his first NHL appearance in over a year, Domingue was stellar between the pipes and the only puck to get past him came on a tipped point shot in the second period. The 31-year-old's time with the Rangers could be brief though, as injuries to Igor Shesterkin (lower body) and Jonathan Quick (upper body) aren't thought to be serious and the team won't take the ice again until Sunday against the Blue Jackets.
