Wilson does not seem to mind the aquarium he has to wear following a broken sinus bone suffered in a Dec. 8 win over the Canadiens. The 30-year-old winger has posted seven goals, 10 points and 31 hits over his last nine outings and should be a fixture in your lineups whenever he takes the ice.

Wilson (face) expects to play in Thursday's matchup with Columbus while wearing a full bubble shield, Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network reports. Wilson has been finding his stride offensively of late with five goals and three assists in his last seven outings, including a pair of goals in Saturday's 4-2 victory over Montreal. Cemented in a first-line role, the gritty winger should continue to get plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net while Alex Ovechkin (lower leg) is on the shelf.

Wilson (face) didn't practice Monday to undergo further evaluations, according to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News. Wilson briefly left Saturday's 4-2 win over Montreal in the first period after a redirected slap shot by teammate Jakob Chychrun struck him in the face. The 30-year-old Wilson scored two goals in the contest and appeared fine afterward despite sporting a swollen and cut left cheek. However, the team wants to ensure that there isn't anything damaged structurally before clearing him for Thursday's road game versus Columbus. Wilson has compiled 11 goals, 22 points, 62 shots on net, 28 blocked shots, 80 hits and 28 PIM through 27 appearances this season.

The 30-year-old winger continues to look good in a top-six role and has largely avoided extended slumps in 2024-25. He has 20 points, 58 shots on net, 78 hits, 27 blocked shots and 28 PIM through 26 outings overall.
