Calgary head coach Ryan Huska wants Mantha to shoot more, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. "You saw tonight, there was multiple times he was standing right in front of the net," Huska praised. "That's how he scored his goal. And for a guy that is his size and has his ability with the puck, that's what we need out of him." Mantha registered a power-play goal and fired four shots on net, leaving the coach and player in agreement that the winger needs to shoot more. Those four shots Sunday were nearly a third of Mantha's season total of 14 SOG through 12 outings. The winger, who's tied for second on the team with four goals, rides a three-game point streak into Tuesday's road meeting with the Canadiens.

Mantha scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers. Mantha got the Flames on the board when he tipped home a Tyson Barrie shot at 4:33 of the second period. This was Mantha's his first power-play point of the campaign, and it extended his point streak to three games (two goals, one assist). The winger is up to four goals, three helpers, 14 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 12 contests. He'll likely continue to play in a middle-six role at even strength while also seeing power-play time.

Mantha notched an assist, two hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Friday's 3-0 win over the Devils. Mantha began the contest on the fourth line, but he was moved up to the third line when Andrei Kuzmenko was benched for poor performance. After enduring a recent six-game slump, Mantha has a goal and an assist over his last two outings. The winger is up to six points, 10 shots on net, 11 PIM, 14 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 11 appearances this season. His streaky scoring will make him prone to moving around the lineup, and it remains to be seen where he'll slot in for Sunday's game versus the Oilers.

Mantha scored a goal, added two PIM, logged two hits and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to Utah. Mantha snapped a six-game slump with his second-period tally. The 30-year-old winger was dropped to the fourth line at even strength, though he remains in the power-play mix. Mantha can be a streaky scorer and often doesn't make a large impact outside of offense, so he's a streaming option in fantasy. He's at five points, nine shots on net, nine PIM, 12 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 10 appearances.

Mantha posted an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Flyers. Mantha has three points, four shots on net, a plus-3 rating and seven PIM over two appearances this season. He's playing on a line with Martin Pospisil and Jonathan Huberdeau, which was the Flames' best forward combination in Saturday's win. Mantha looks prepared to be a regular presence in all situations this season, though his offense may not be much better than the 44 points he put up in 74 regular-season outings in 2023-24 as the Flames take a scoring-by-committee approach early this year.
