Wennberg scored on the power play in the opening frame before tying the score at 2-2 with just nine seconds left in the third period to send the game to overtime. The Swedish forward could be turning the corner on offense -- he's registered multi-point outings in two of his last three games. Wennberg has compiled five goals, six assists, four PIM, 29 shots, 18 blocks, 13 hits and seven takeaways through 22 contests.

Wennberg registered two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Red Wings. Wennberg snapped a five-game point drought when he set up William Eklund's first goal of the contest, and he added another helper on a Tyler Toffoli goal. Through the first 20 games, Wennberg has been extremely streaky in a middle-six role -- he's had two extended droughts sandwiched around a stretch of seven points in seven games. The playmaking center has three goals, six helpers, 27 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 12 hits and a minus-2 rating.

Wennberg scored for the third time in five games, tallying at 3:11 of overtime to steal the win for the Sharks in a game where they were outshot 50-27. The 30-year-old center remained on the second line Tuesday despite the return of Macklin Celebrini from a lower-body injury. Wennberg is up to three goals, seven points, 21 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 14 appearances.

The 30-year-old center has warmed up, and it's helped the Sharks be more successful as a team. Wennberg notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Kings. Wennberg's resurgence on offense has seen him pick up five points over his last four games. That's all of his scoring this season, and the center has added 16 shots on net, 11 blocked shots, eight hits and a minus-3 rating through 11 appearances. Wennberg looks set to hold down the second-line center spot until Macklin Celebrini (lower body) is able to return, at which point Wennberg would likely move to the third line.
