• Michael Raffl: Headed overseas

  Raffl inked a two-year contract with Swiss club Lausanne HC on Thursday. Raffl saw action in 76 games for the Stars last season in which he notched seven goals, nine assists and 141 hits while averaging 14:32 of ice time. While not exactly an offensive dynamo, it is a little surprising to see the 33-year-old winger sign in Europe rather than trying to find a new NHL club. Given his age, this could mark the end of Raffl's NHL career, which would see him eventually retire having played in 590 games for Philadelphia, Washington and Dallas.

  Raffl scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and levied six hits in Friday's 4-2 win over the Flames in Game 6. Raffl gave the Stars a 2-0 lead in the second period and also helped out on Tyler Seguin's empty-netter in the third. The 33-year-old Raffl has been rewarded for his strong play so far by seeing time on the top line at even strength in recent games. He has three points, eight shots on net, 30 hits, 17 PIM and a plus-1 rating through six playoff outings.

• Stars' Michael Raffl: Puts away empty-netter

  Raffl scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added four hits and served two PIM in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Flames in Game 2. The Stars held a 1-0 lead for much of the contest until Raffl was able to deposit an empty-netter with 1:09 left in the game. The 33-year-old had seven goals and nine assists in 76 regular-season contests, and his bottom-six role isn't expected to lead to much offense in the postseason. He'll continue to serve as more of a checking-line presence and a penalty killer.

• Stars' Michael Raffl: Tallies shortie in win

  Raffl scored a shorthanded on goal shots and added three hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Sharks. Raffl's goal at 13:32 of the second period stood as the game-winner. This was the 33-year-old's third shorthanded point of the season. It snapped a nine-game point drought for the forward. Raffl's at 16 points, 90 shots on net, 116 hits and a minus-13 rating through 69 appearances while mainly playing in a bottom-six role.

• Stars' Michael Raffl: Garners helper in Tuesday's win

  Raffl logged an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks. Raffl snapped a five-game point drought with his secondary helper on a Radek Faksa goal. The 33-year-old Raffl has been a modest contributor on offense with 15 points, 79 shots on net and a minus-11 rating in 59 contests. He's added 99 hits and 14 PIM while often playing in a bottom-six role.
