  • Strome recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Monday's 6-2 win over Utah. Strome evened the score for the Capitals with a wrap-around midway through the first period and later set up Alex Ovechkin's second goal on the power play, giving Washington a 4-1 lead early in the second frame. This was Strome's second straight multi-point effort and also extended his point streak to five games. Furthermore, the 27-year-old center has failed to crack the scoresheet just once in Washington's previous 11 outings, posting three goals and 16 assists in that span.

  • Strome had two assists and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights. Strome helped out on first-period goals by Alex Ovechkin and Jakob Chychrun. During his active four-game point streak, Strome has a goal and six assists, including three power-play helpers. The 27-year-old center continues to thrive on the Capitals' top line with five tallies, 21 assists, 27 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating through 17 appearances this season.

  • Strome scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs. Strome had gone four games without a goal, but he racked up six assists in that span. He's played provider for Alex Ovechkin on the top line this year, leading to a resurgent start to the campaign for both players. Strome is up to five goals, 23 points, 26 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 15 appearances. Barring a brutal slump, Strome looks set to reset his career high in points after producing 67 points in 82 regular-season outings in 2023-24.

  • Strome picked up three assists in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Blues. Strome has assisted on all 10 of Alex Ovechkin's goals this season. The only other Washington player to help out on at least 10 consecutive goals by Ovechkin was Nicklas Backstrom (hip), who hit 11 straight to end 2010-11 and start 2011-12. Strome is one of the best playmakers in the NHL this season. His 18 assists tie him for second overall, and his 22 points tie him for sixth. Strome is also winning 53.8 percent of his faceoffs.

The 27-year-old continues racing toward a career-best season, collecting helpers on tallies by Aliaksei Protas in the second period and then Alex Ovechkin's game-winner in the third.
