Kylington scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Panthers. Kylington missed time earlier in the season due to an illness, but he's also struggled to get in the lineup when healthy. He's primarily competed for a third-pairing spot that is usually filled by Calvin de Haan, though Kylington has now played in three straight games. Kylington's two points Saturday were his first scoring contributions of the season, and he's added two shots on net, two hits, six blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over seven outings. Without more offense, the 27-year-old won't be an option in most fantasy formats.

Kylington (illness) will be a healthy scratch Sunday versus the Senators, according to NHL.com . Per Ryan Boulding of NHL.com, Kylington returned to Saturday's practice after missing the team's three-game road trip. The 27-year-old defender hasn't earned a point in two appearances this season while posting six blocked shots and one hit.

Kylington didn't travel with the Avs while dealing with an illness, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports Thursday. Kylington apparently has been under the weather during all three games of Colorado's road trip due to this illness. Even when healthy, the 27-year-old blueliner is far from a lock for the lineup and could periodically serve as a healthy scratch.

Kylington signed a one-year, $1.05 million contract with Colorado on Monday. Kylington generated three goals, eight points, 42 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and 24 hits in 33 regular-season appearances with Calgary in 2023-24. After missing the entire 2022-23 campaign due to a personal matter, the 27-year-old blueliner didn't debut last season until Jan. 25. Kylington will compete for a depth spot with the Avalanche during training camp.

Kylington scored a goal and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Sharks. After missing all of 2022-23 and a good portion of this season, Kylington's return was a positive story for a Flames team that remains stuck in mediocrity. The defenseman earned eight points and added 42 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating. Kylington, a pending unrestricted free agent, expressed his desire to sign with Calgary again, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reported Friday. The 26-year-old blueliner is likely to be a bottom-four blueliner regardless of if he stays or goes, but he could also factor in on the power play more once he gets a full training camp under his belt again.
