Chabot recorded an assist with two shots on net, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over Chicago. Returning to the lineup after a 12-game absence due to an upper-body injury, Chabot immediately slotted back in on Ottawa's top pairing with Jake Sanderson and handled duties on the point of the second power-play unit. Chabot has only been healthy enough to play 19 games so far in 2025-26, but the 28-year-old defenseman has been productive when available with two goals and 11 points, along with 37 blocked shots, 24 shots on net and a plus-4 rating.

Chabot (upper body) was taken off injured reserve and will be in the lineup Saturday versus Chicago, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. Chabot will return after missing 12 games with the injury. The 28-year-old defenseman has two goals, eight assists, 36 blocked shots and 13 hits across 18 appearances this season. Nikolas Matinpalo will probably be the odd man out on the Ottawa blue line with the return of Chabot.

Chabot (upper body) remains on injured reserve and won't play in Thursday's game against Pittsburgh, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia. Chabot hasn't played since Nov. 22, but he has resumed skating and could be nearing a return. However, it's unclear if he will be an option Saturday versus Chicago or Sunday in Boston. Nikolas Matinpalo might lose his spot in the lineup once Chabot is ready.

Head coach Travis Green told reporters in Winnipeg on Monday that Chabot (upper body) is skating and is getting closer to returning to the lineup, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia. Chabot hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 22 in San Jose. Garrioch noted that Chabot is trending toward playing this week, with a potential return date being against the Penguins on Thursday or the Blackhawks on Saturday. The left-shot blueliner will likely slot back into a second-pairing role once he's in the lineup.

Chabot (upper body) will not travel with the Senators for their upcoming three-game road trip, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Wednesday. At this point, Chabot may be better served sitting out until after the Christmas break, as he will have missed 14 of the team's last 15 contests by the time the club is back in Ottawa. Still, the Quebec native would be a strong addition to the Sens' blue line, considering he has racked up 10 points in 18 games this year.
