Levi was reassigned to AHL Rochester on Monday. In Levi's last four NHL outings, he posted a 1-3-0 record, 4.05 GAA and .873 save percentage. With nobody winning games in Buffalo right now -- the team is 0-7-3 in its last 10 games -- it is understandable that the club would try to make some tweaks, but it appears deploying Levi was not the move.

Levi stopped 36 of 40 shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs. The fifth goal was an empty-netter. Levi made his first start since Nov. 16 after being called up from the minors, but he didn't look good. His recent numbers haven't been positive, as Levi has gone 1-3-0 with a 4.05 GAA and an .873 save percentage across his last four appearances at the NHL level. With Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and James Reimer entrenched as the two top options between the pipes, Levi doesn't figure to see a lot of ice time going forward.

Levi will guard the road goal Sunday against the Maple Leafs after being recalled from AHL Rochester, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 27 saves on 30 shots in Saturday's loss to Washington, and James Reimer was the backup. It's unclear why the Sabres brought up Levi, but head coach Lindy Ruff mentioned the lineup will have some game-time decisions. Levi has a 2-5-0 record with a 3.95 GAA and an .870 save percentage in seven NHL outings this season.

Levi stopped 27 of 31 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers. Philadelphia's fifth goal was an empty-netter. Levi made his second straight start with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) sidelined once again, and the results weren't pretty. Levi has posted a sub-.890 save percentage in each of his last five outings, going 1-4-0 with a 4.60 GAA and .846 save percentage in that stretch. Unfortunately for the Sabres, Levi will remain between the pipes until Luukkonen is ready to return, unless the coaching staff decides to give James Reimer an opportunity amid Levi's struggles.

Levi stopped 24 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blues. Levi made his sixth appearance of the season Thursday and picked up his second win in the process. The 22-year-old had lost three consecutive contests before Rasmus Dahlin buried the winning goal in overtime. Levi will be hard to trust due to his lack of consistent playing time -- his last start before Thursday was Nov. 1. The Quebec native is sporting a 2-4-0 record, .870 save percentage and 3.87 GAA.
