  Khusnutdinov is a late scratch Saturday against Calgary because of a lower-body injury. Khusnutdinov has two assists, 18 hits and 15 blocks in 19 appearances in 2024-25. Minnesota will also be without the services of Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) following an injury he suffered against Edmonton on Thursday. Due to the absences of Khusnutdinov and Kaprizov, Travis Boyd will make his Wild debut, and Ben Jones will also draw into the lineup.

The goal was Khusnutdinov's first NHL tally and just his third point in 13 contests since he signed his entry-level deal. The 21-year-old has added six shots on net, 16 hits, six PIM and a minus-5 rating while seeing bottom-six minutes. Khusnutdinov still has enough skill to make an impact down the road, but he won't be an attractive fantasy option in the final week of this season.
