Pospisil scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 shootout win over the Wild. Pospisil put the Flames up 2-1 on the power play late in the second period when he redirected Nazem Kadri's slap pass past Filip Gustavsson's outstretched pad. The 25-year-old Pospisil ended his 19-game goal drought with his second tally of 2024-25. It's been a productive week for him, as he also snapped a 15-game point slump with an assist in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders. Pospisil isn't as good as his three-game, five-point streak to start the season, but he's not as bad as his recent struggles. Wait to see what Pospisil can do over the next week before considering him as a waiver-wire option.

Pospisil notched a power-play assist in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders. Pospisil endured a rough month, going 15 games without a point before getting on the scoresheet Tuesday. The 25-year-old has bounced around the lineup but often settles into a middle-six role. He's at six points -- five of which he earned over the first three contests of 2024-25 -- while adding 27 shots on net, 54 hits, 21 PIM an a plus-1 rating through 19 contests.

Pospisil was whistled for an offensive-zone penalty that led to the go-ahead goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Edmonton, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Herald reports. "It can't happen, especially in a tied game," Pospisil said of his third-period penalty. "I have to learn from it." Pospisil plays with an edge -- he leads the team in hits (38) and two-minute minors (six) -- so coaches have learned to accept his style, but his third-period high-sticking penalty in the offensive zone was costly and noticed by head coach Ryan Huska. "It's so hard to win in this league that if you overstep the boundary a little bit, then it can cost a team," Huska said. "I think he understands it. He's gotta really work to be a better player in that regard for us." Pospisil, who opened the season with six points through his first eight appearances, enters Tuesday's contest in Montreal on a four-game pointless run.

Pospisil registered an assist, two shots on goal and five hits in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Oilers. Pospisil failed to earn multiple points for the first time in three games this season. He has a goal, four assists, four shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-3 rating while centering Jonathan Huberdeau and Anthony Mantha. Pospisil is unlikely to keep up this pace on offense, but in just his second NHL campaign, he's a proven physical force who could rank among the league leaders in hits at the end of the season if he's able to stay healthy.

Pospisil (lower body) is in the lineup versus Winnipeg on Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Pospisil had a good rookie season in fantasy, especially if you play the hits and PIM categories. Pospisil had 107 PIM, 238 hits, eight goals and 16 assists in 63 regular-season games with the Flames. He is slated to start on the second line, alongside Jonathan Huberdeau and Anthony Mantha on Opening Night in Vancouver.
