  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Tickles twine in loss

McTavish scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.

With two goals and two assists over his last eight outings, McTavish has done a decent job on offense lately. The 21-year-old scored late in the first period to get the Ducks back within a goal, but they never tied the score. McTavish is up to seven goals, 20 points, 86 shots on net, 41 hits, 26 PIM, 23 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 41 appearances. He's likely to remain in a middle-six role, and his six-game absence due to an upper-body injury in November is putting him at risk of missing the 40-point mark for the first time in his three full campaigns.

  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Lends assist

Luostarinen notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

The helper snapped a five-game slump for Luostarinen. Even with a move to the second line in recent contests, he's done little more than provide depth offense. The 26-year-old is at seven goals, 10 assists, 55 shots on net, 102 hits, 37 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 48 appearances, which is production good enough to make Luostarinen an option in deep fantasy formats.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Collects helper in win

Barkov notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Barkov had gone three games without a point, and he's now 10 contests removed from his last goal with five helpers over that span. The 29-year-old helped out on Sam Reinhart's game-tying goal in the first period. Barkov has generally played well with 39 points, 83 shots on net, 48 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 38 appearances this season. All players hit ruts at times, but the Finn should be able to get back to a high level of performance in short order.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Pots goal in win

Rodrigues scored a goal on two shots, blocked three shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Rodrigues has done well in a bottom-six role recently, earning three goals and an assist over his last six games. The 31-year-old will never be a leading scorer, but he can provide solid depth offense and a little grit to boot. He's up to 10 goals, 21 points, 90 shots on net, 72 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 48 appearances.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Ends lengthy goal drought

Bennett scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Bennett had gone 20 games without a goal, and he logged just four assists with 55 shots, 43 hits and 25 PIM in that span. The 28-year-old got off to a torrid start to 2024-25, and even a heavy dose of regression hasn't taken the shine fully off his campaign. He's now at 14 goals, 29 points, 135 shots on net, 96 hits, 55 PIM and a minus-13 rating through 46 appearances. Bennett remains firmly in a second-line role.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Lights lamp Tuesday

Reinhart scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Reinhart was able to make a positive impact in Tuesday's game after getting ejected early for a hit on Isac Lundestrom in Saturday's contests versus the Ducks back in Florida. The 29-year-old Reinhart didn't have to drop the mitts in this contest either, and he was able to get back on the scoresheet by snapping a three-game slump. He's now at 28 tallies, 52 points, 126 shots on net, 59 hits, 37 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 48 appearances. A fourth straight 30-goal season is nearly inevitable, and a second consecutive 40-goal campaign is within reach if he stays healthy and productive.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort in win

Verhaeghe scored a goal on five shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Verhaeghe snapped a six-game goal drought in this contest. It was also his first multi-point effort since Dec. 18 versus the Wild. The 29-year-old has seven points over his last nine outings to get his offense closer to an acceptable level, but it'll be hard to sustain as long as he's seeing third-line minutes. The winger is at 11 goals, 34 points, 145 shots on net, 67 hits and a minus-17 rating across 48 appearances this season.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Canucks' J.T. Miller: Contributes helper in loss

Miller logged an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Miller has three assists over his last two outings following a five-game drought. The 31-year-old is now at 32 points, 72 shots on net, 79 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 36 appearances this season. He's in a top-six role for the Canucks currently, and while trade rumors are swirling, it doesn't look like any deal is close enough yet to make the team consider sitting Miller out.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Tallies in Tuesday's loss

Pettersson scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

Pettersson ended his five-game goal drought, which covered all the time since he returned from an undisclosed injury. He had just one assist in that span. The 26-year-old is up to 11 goals, 30 points, 76 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 37 hits and a minus-6 rating through 40 appearances. He's still seeing top-six minutes, but his 0.75 points-per-game pace is the worst of his career.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Opens scoring in win

Thompson scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.

Thompson has two goals and three assists during his four-game point streak. He's had to deal with an evolving top line -- Jiri Kulich replaced Ryan McLeod (upper body) there a couple of games ago, and JJ Peterka moved up to take the spot of Jason Zucker (illness) in this contest. Thompson's talented enough to play with a variety of linemates without experiencing a drop-off in production. He's at 21 goals, 18 assists, 130 shots on net, 41 hits and a plus-2 rating through 42 outings this season.
