Philipp Kurashev C | SJ
Blackhawks' Philipp Kurashev: Two points Monday
Kurashev had a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Kurashev returned to the lineup after not playing in any of the team's previous four games, and he's been limited to just four appearances since the Christmas break. While he stood out with this performance Monday, fantasy managers would be wise to look at other options for more consistent, sustained production.

Brendan Gaunce C | CLB
Wild's Brendan Gaunce: Relegated to minors
Gaunce was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Tuesday.
Gaunce being sent to the minors could be an indication that one of Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) or Marcus Johansson (concussion) is ready to return to the lineup. Minnesota's next game is at home Thursday versus Utah. Gaunce has not found the scoresheet through five contests with the Wild this season.

Ryan Donato C | CHI
Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Third multi-point game of season
Donato had a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Donato doesn't have a lot of opportunities to crack the scoresheet due to his role in the fourth line, but he's been very productive in recent weeks. He's recorded points in six of his previous 10 appearances, tallying three goals and four helpers in that span.

Seth Jarvis C | CAR
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Third goal in last two games
Jarvis scored a shorthanded goal while adding three shots and a hit in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
Jarvis has found the back of the net in consecutive games for the third time this season, and at least from a scoring perspective, there's no question the 22-year-old winger is going through a productive stretch. He has seven goals over his last eight contests, a span in which he's also tallied an assist, 22 shots on goal, 10 hits and seven blocked shots.

Jordan Staal C | CAR
Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Scores goal vs. Chicago
Staal recorded a goal, four shots, two hits and a blocked shot in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
Staal might be playing in the third line and could be considered past his prime in his age-36 season, but there's no question the veteran playmaker is going through a productive stretch of late. Staal has cracked the scoresheet in six of his last eight appearances, tallying three multi-point efforts and racking up 10 points (six goals, four assists) in that span.

Scott Laughton C | LA
Flyers' Scott Laughton: Ruled out against Wings
Laughton (personal) will not be in the lineup versus Detroit on Tuesday.
Laughton has been struggling offensively of late, going seven games without finding the back of the net while also managing just one helper over that stretch. Despite the slump, Laughton should still be capable of reaching the 30-point threshold for the fourth consecutive season this year. In his stead, Rodrigo Abols will make his NHL debut in Tuesday's tilt.

Adam Lowry C | WPG
Jets' Adam Lowry: Exits Monday's game in Utah early
Lowry sustained an undisclosed injury in Monday's 5-2 loss to Utah, per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.
Lowry was injured in the first period and did not play in the final two frames of Monday's loss. Head coach Scott Arniel didn't have an update on Lowry's health, so the Winnipeg captain's status is in question for Wednesday's road game against Colorado. Lowry will most likely be further evaluated by the Jets' medical staff Tuesday. The 31-year-old has provided 11 goals, 26 points and a plus-17 rating through 48 outings in 2024-25.

Auston Matthews C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Four-game goal streak
Matthews scored a goal and added an assist in 5-3 win over Tampa Bay on Monday.
Matthews scored for the fourth straight game (five goals), and it was his eighth in nine games (14 points) since his return from injury. He also came close to pulling off a Michigan, too. Whatever injury Matthews was dealing with sure isn't affecting him now. You know what to do.

Nick Paul C | TB
Lightning's Nick Paul: Seven points in last eight games
Paul scored twice in a 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs on Monday.
Paul's last multi-point game was over a month ago on Dec. 17 when he put up three points, but that's not really what you expect from him. He has seven points (four goals, including two on the power play, and three assists) in his last eight games and 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) in 39 games. That puts Paul on a 52-point pace, and that would be a career high. It's come at the expense of some physicality -- Paul has just 35 hits after putting up three consecutive seasons with at least 104. That doesn't affect all managers, but it's clear his game has evolved. Paul can help in deep formats.

Ivan Ivan C | COL
Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Shipped to AHL
Ivan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.
Ivan could be recalled in the coming days since the Avalanche currently only have 10 healthy forwards on their roster. Valeri Nichushkin (lower body) is closing in on a return, but Colorado also sent Jere Innala down Monday, so the team will need to either recall another winger or roll with 11 forwards and seven defensemen against Winnipeg on Wednesday. Ivan has chipped in five goals and eight points over 39 appearances with the Avalanche in 2024-25.
