Kastelic (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday and will be in the lineup versus Ottawa.
Kastelic will return to Ottawa for the first time since being dealt in the offseason in the Linus Ullmark trade. Kastelic has missed the last two games and has four goals, eight assists and 167 hits across 43 contests this season. Look for Kastelic to play on the fourth line alongside Justin Brazeau and John Beecher.

Devils' Justin Dowling: Out Saturday
Dowling (illness) will not play Saturday against the Flyers, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Dowling will be sidelined Saturday after appearing in the Devils' previous five contests. The 34-year-old forward has two goals and three points in 30 games this season. Brian Halonen figures to enter the lineup in Dowling's absence.

Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Recalled from AHL
Ivan was called up from AHL Colorado on Saturday.
Ivan had a goal and an assist in two AHL games this week. He was sent down Monday to get in some playing time after missing seven contests with an upper-body injury. The Avalanche had 11 healthy forwards ahead of Saturday's tilt versus Dallas, so expect Ivan to see time as a bottom-six forward.

Dorofeyev notched a power-play assist in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Dorofeyev has earned seven points, including four on the power play, over his last three games. The winger looks to be meshing well with Tomas Hertl and Victor Olofsson in a middle-six capacity. Dorofeyev didn't do much in December but looks to be back to his productive ways. He's already secured a career year with 28 points (nine on the power play) over 45 appearances, and he's added 131 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating.

Eichel notched a power-play assist, four shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Eichel has gone five games without a goal but has three assists in that span. The 28-year-old center is up to 55 points through 44 outings this season. He's added 132 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a plus-22 rating while playing on the top line, and he's earned 17 of his points with the man advantage.

Hertl opened the scoring at 4:22 of the second period. The center has looked good lately with three goals and four assists over his last six outings. He remains in a middle-six role and is up to 13 tallies, 32 points, 105 shots on net, 58 hits, 36 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 45 appearances.

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Picks up helper in win
Staal logged an assist, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.
Following a stretch of five goals and three assists over four games from Jan. 5-10, he was held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests. The Hurricanes shuffled their lines for this game, and Staal was able to set up the second of Seth Jarvis' tallies, which came at 6:09 of the third period. Staal is up to 24 points, 63 shots on net, 79 hits and a plus-11 rating over 46 appearances. The center has a chance to reach the 40-point mark for the first time since 2017-18, though he would have to sustain a decent portion of his recent success on offense.

Jarvis scored two goals, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.
A lineup shuffle returned Jarvis to the third line alongside Jordan Staal and Jordan Martinook. That line was the Hurricanes' best in the contest. Jarvis is having a strong January with six goals and two assists over nine outings this month. For the season, the 22-year-old is at 15 goals, 33 points, 104 shots on net, 59 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 39 appearances.
