Adam Edstrom C | NYR
Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Scores in overtime loss
Edstrom scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the avalanche.
Edstrom scored for the second game in a row, but the Rangers were unable to hold the lead that he created. The 24-year-old has four goals, three assists, 35 shots on net, 76 hits, 26 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 43 appearances. For now, it looks like Edstrom has the inside track to playing time, but he could lose his spot in the lineup to Jonny Brodzinski or Jimmy Vesey if his performance dips.

Sam Carrick C | BUF
Rangers' Sam Carrick: In on both goals Tuesday
Carrick scored a shorthanded goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche.
Carrick capitalized on a turnover to tie the game at 1-1 in the first period and then fed Adam Edstrom for the go-ahead tally midway through the second. January's off to a good start for Carrick, who has three goals and an assist over seven games this month, which is already his best month of the season. The 32-year-old center is at four goals, 11 points (two shorthanded), 43 shots on net, 73 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 43 outings overall.

Ross Colton C | COL
Avalanche's Ross Colton: Supplies helper
Colton notched an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Colton has contributed five points over his last eight outings. He set up Parker Kelly on the opening tally in Tuesday's contests. The 28-year-old Colton has enjoyed a decent campaign when healthy, racking up 13 goals, three assists, 69 shots on net, 62 hits and a minus-2 rating through 28 games. He continues to fill a middle-six role, primarily playing on the wing with occasional turns at center.

Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: First to 70 points
MacKinnon registered two assists, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
MacKinnon has three multi-point efforts over seven games in January. The 29-year-old center was a key part of the Avalanche's late comeback, helping out on Artturi Lehkonen's game-tying goal in the third period before setting up Devon Toews on the game-winner in overtime. MacKinnon is the first to reach the 70-point mark this season, doing so with 15 goals, 55 assists, 170 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating through 45 appearances.

Pavel Zacha C | BOS
Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Snaps eight-game goal streak
Zacha scored a goal and added two assists in a 6-2 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
The goal snapped an eight-game goal drought. Zacha's 10 goals put him in a four-way tie for third on the Bruins with Morgan Geekie, Justin Brazeau and Charlie Coyle. He's struggled this season, and he's on pace to barely scrape into the low 40s in points. Zacha had a career-high 59 last season and 57 the year before.

Tomas Hertl C | LV
Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Contributes pair of helpers
Hertl recorded two assists in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.
Hertl helped out on the first two goals of Pavel Dorofeyev's natural hat trick, one of which was on the power play. This was Hertl's second multi-point effort in a row, and he has two goals and four assists over seven outings in January. For the season, the 31-year-old center has provided 31 points (14 on the power play), 102 shots on net, 57 hits, 35 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 44 appearances in a middle-six role.

Pavel Dorofeyev RW | LV
Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Natural hat trick goes to waste
Dorofeyev scored three goals, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Predators.
Dorofeyev was a one-man rally in this contest, but even a natural hat trick was too little to overcome what was once a 4-0 deficit. The winger has logged back-to-back three-point games following a stretch of 18 contests in which he was limited to a total of two goals and two assists. The 24-year-old now has career highs in goals (19) and points (27) while adding 130 shots on net, 26 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 44 appearances this season.

Colton Sissons C | LV
Predators' Colton Sissons: Puts up assist in win
Sissons logged an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Sissons helped out on Ryan O'Reilly's buzzer-beating empty-netter in the third period. With two goals and five assists over his last nine outings, Sissons has found a bit of a groove on offense. The defensive-minded forward is up to nine points, 40 shots on net, 54 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 42 contests. Sissons can chip in a little bit of everything, but there's no telling if he'll be able to keep up his recent success on offense.

Gustav Nyquist RW | WPG
Predators' Gustav Nyquist: Records helper Tuesday
Nyquist posted an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Nyquist has earned a goal and four assists over his last six outings. The winger is showing a little more life on offense and continues to log time on Nashville's second line. For the season, he has 18 points, 53 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 42 appearances. Nyquist doesn't add much outside of points, so he's not the strongest of depth options in most fantasy formats.

Jonathan Marchessault C | NSH
Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Nabs helper against old team
Marchessault logged an assist and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Marchessault was able to get on the scoresheet against his former team in his first-ever game against Vegas. The winger has been hot lately with nine goals and 10 assists over his last 15 contests, and he has just one scoreless outing in that span. For the season, he's up to 14 goals, 18 helpers, 128 shots on net, 57 hits, 31 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 43 appearances, putting him on track to reach the 60-point mark for the third time in four years.
