  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Eclipses 30 helpers on season

Malkin dished out an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to Ottawa.

Malkin recorded the primary assist on Yegor Chinakhov's opening goal in the first period. With the helper, the 39-year-old Malkin reached the 30-assist mark for the season, which secured his fourth consecutive campaign above that total. Overall, the veteran forward is up to 43 points across 39 games this season, which ranks him in a tie for 20th in the NHL with 1.10 points per game. Since his return from an upper-body injury in early January, he has at least one point in 11 of 13 games and has 14 points in that span. He should continue to elevate the team's top six and play a large role in Pittsburgh's playoff push in the Metropolitan Division, giving him strong value across most fantasy formats.

  • Tommy Novak C | PIT

Penguins' Thomas Novak: Lights lamp in loss

Novak scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to Ottawa.

Novak's tally midway through Monday's final period tied the game at two goals apiece before Ottawa's Claude Giroux scored the game-winner six minutes later. Novak's tally brings him up to 10 goals on the season to go along with 29 points and 81 shots on net across 54 games. The goal helped him secure his fourth consecutive campaign reaching the double-digit goal mark. His first full season in Pittsburgh has taken a step up as of late with eight points over his last nine games. His role centering the team's second line alongside Yegor Chinakhov and Evgeni Malkin has elevated the 28-year-old's ceiling in fantasy, giving Novak decent streaming value in deep leagues. Look for him to challenge his career high of 45 points by the end of the regular season.

  • Senators' Michael Amadio: Cashes in goal Monday

Amadio scored a goal on two shots and dished out two hits in Monday's 3-2 win over Pittsburgh.

Amadio found the back of the net less than two minutes into the second period to level the score at one apiece. With his tally, he is up to eight goals, 21 points, 64 shots on net, 78 hits and 28 blocks across 55 games this season. While Ottawa's younger and upcoming talents frequently steal the headlines, the 29-year-old Amadio has been solid lately with four points over his last seven games. He not only secured a 20-plus-point campaign for the fourth consecutive season, but is also on track to set a new career-high if he can surpass the 27 points he totaled in each of the past three seasons. He has even seen more than two minutes higher than his season-average ice time (15:40) in each of his last four outings, which makes him an intriguing streaming option in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage over pure offense.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: First goal in 11 games

Rodrigues scored a goal Monday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.

It was his first goal in 11 games. Rodrigues is completely overmatched as Florida's top pivot -- Sam Bennett left Monday's game with an upper-body injury, and the kitties are already missing Anton Lundell (upper body), Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Tomas Nosek (knee) down the middle, and Brad Marchand (undisclosed) on the wing. Rodrigues has a point (one goal, one assist) in each of his last two games, but just three assists in the 10 games before Monday.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Continues to carry kitties

Reinhart dished two assists Monday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.

Reinhart is all but dragging the Panthers this season, and now he's the last man standing with Sam Bennett leaving with an upper-body injury Monday. The kitties are already without Aleksander Barkov (knee), Brad Marchand (undisclosed) and Anton Lundell (upper body). Reinhart has still managed 54 points (27 goals, 27 helpers) and 144 shots in 55 games this season. There's no rest for the weary, either, as Reinhart heads to Milano Cortina later this week to play for Canada at the Olympics.

  • Ryan McLeod C | BUF

Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Eight points in last six games

McLeod delivered two helpers in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

McLeod had his four-game scoring streak snapped by Montreal on Saturday, but he's right back at it this week. He has eight assists in his last six games, and 39 points, including 28 helpers, in 55 games this season. McLeod still doesn't shoot much -- he has just 65 shots this season -- but his plus-19 rating is a bonus for formats that count that stat.

  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Big game in Beanpot opener

Hagens scored twice and added an assist in Boston College's 5-1 win over Harvard University on Monday.

Hagens took the early scoring lead in the Beanpot with his three-point effort. The Bruins prospect is up to 14 goals and 14 assists over 22 NCAA appearances this season. Hagens and BC will take on Boston University, which defeated Northeastern University in a 3-2 shootout, next Monday for the Beanpot title.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Beast mode still activated

Thompson scored his 29th goal of the season in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Thompson has gone full beast mode since the December break. He has 25 points, including 11 goals, and 67 shots in 19 games, and he's been held off the scoresheet just four times in that span. Thompson has just one power-play goal (five PPA) on that run.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Eight points in last seven games

Krebs had a goal and two assists in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers. He also had seven hits.

Krebs' overall production (seven goals, 18 assists; 55 games) this season hasn't stood out, but he's recently picked up the pace with eight points (three goals, five assists), seven shots, 14 PIM, 16 hits and a plus-6 rating in his last seven outings. Krebs is on the Sabres' third line, so that lowers his fantasy ceiling.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Won't return Monday

Bennett exited Monday's game against the Sabres early with an upper-body injury and will not return.

After skating just over five minutes in the first period, Bennett was ultimately ruled out before the start of the third period. The injury comes at a rough time for the 29-year-old center, who was in the midst of an 11-point, 12-game stretch and was a top candidate to potentially replace Anthony Cirelli (undisclosed) on Team Canada, if Cirelli's injury is serious enough to keep him out through the Olympic break. Regardless, Bennett will have two chances to return to Florida's lineup before the Olympic break, with the first being Wednesday versus the Bruins. The veteran center can be considered day-to-day until the team provides further information.
