  • Jake Evans C | MON

    Canadiens' Jake Evans: Tallies again

Evans scored a goal on two shots and assisted on another in Monday's 5-4 loss to Columbus. He also had one hit.

Evans accepted a feed from Emil Heineman, split the defense and beat Jet Greaves to the glove-side that tied the game at 3-3 in the second period. He later assisted on a Joel Armia tally in the third that gave Montreal its first and only lead of the game. The Canadiens' fourth line has been hot of late, with Evans leading the charge -- he has points in four consecutive games including goals in the last three. His 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) through 34 outings puts Evans on track to break his career-high 29 points over 72 games played in 2021-22.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Record-setting night

Malkin had two assists in a 7-3 victory over the Flyers on Monday.

With his first assist, Malkin became the third player in Penguins history with 500 power-play points (180 goals, 320 assists) in the NHL, joining Mario Lemieux (701) and Sidney Crosby (571). He has four points, including three assists, in his last four games, and 29 (seven goals, 22 assists) in 36 games on the season. But 11 of Malkin's points (two goals, nine assists) came in his first five games. Don't overrate him at this point in his career, especially if you're looking to bolster your lineup for a second-half run.

  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Picks up first assist of 2024-25

Nazar notched an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Wild.

The helper was Nazar's first career assist and first point in 2024-25. He's added five shots on net, four blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating through six appearances at the NHL level. Nazar is one of the Blackhawks' top prospects and is getting a look in the NHL for now, though there's no telling if he'll finish the campaign with the big club.

  • Ryan Donato C | CHI

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Snags assist in loss

Donato logged an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Wild.

Donato helped out on Nick Foligno's second-period tally. With a point in five of the last seven contests, Donato continues to find ways to chip in on offense. The 28-year-old forward is up to 20 points, 78 shots on net, 57 hits, 22 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 33 contests. He's on pace for a career year, and while playing in Chicago isn't attractive, Donato's got enough sandpaper in his game to bolster his fantasy value.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Finds twine in loss

Dickinson scored a goal and added five hits in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Wild.

Dickinson had gone four games without a point entering Monday. The center tallied late in the third period to bring the Blackhawks' within one, but the comeback effort fell short. He's up to seven goals, 12 points, 33 shots on net, 52 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 35 outings. Dickinson's physicality elevates his fantasy status a little bit, but the offense is modest for a center.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Opens scoring in loss

Bedard scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and logged two PIM in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Wild.

Bedard opened the scoring at 6:47 of the first period. He has five tallies and eight assists over 12 outings in a productive December. The 19-year-old center is up to nine goals, 30 points, 85 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 35 appearances, though he remains firmly in a top-line role. He's on a virtually identical scoring pace to last year, when he had 61 points in 68 outings as a rookie.

  • Ben Jones C | MIN

Wild's Ben Jones: Playing but not producing

Jones has suited up for 16 of 19 games since he was recalled from AHL Iowa on Nov. 17.

Jones has settled into a fourth-line role, primarily as a winger, though he played center between Devin Shore and Yakov Trenin in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks. The 25-year-old Jones is still searching for his first NHL point -- he has not gotten on the scoresheet over 16 games this year and 18 outings in his career. He has 14 shots on net, 32 hits, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating in 2024-25.

  • Devin Shore C | MIN

Wild's Devin Shore: Earns first point with team

Shore registered an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

The helper was Shore's first point as a member of the Wild. He's added 13 shots on net, 19 hits and an even plus-minus rating while filling a bottom-six role. The 30-year-old forward cleared waivers last week, so he may be heading to AHL Iowa once the Wild get healthier up front -- Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) and Jakub Lauko (lower body) are currently on injured reserve.

  • Wild's Marat Khusnutdinov: Adds helper in win

Khusnutdinov produced an assist in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Khusnutdinov has just two points over his last 13 outings, though he has played regularly in a bottom-six role while Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) has been out. Through 32 outings overall, Khusnutdinov has contributed a meager four points with 13 shots on net, 28 hits and 22 blocked shots over 32 contests.

  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Seven points in last four games

Rakell had a goal and two assists in a 7-3 win over Philadelphia on Monday.

He found twine at 11:53 of the first with a wrist shot from the slot after he'd had a goal overturned at the 7:14 mark. Rakell has seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last four games and 29 points, including 16 snipes, in 36 games this season. At this rate, Rakell will challenge his career-best 69 points (34 goals, 35 assists) set back in 2017-18. He's a great veteran option for managers seeking a title this season.
