  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Questionable Thursday

Cirelli (undisclosed) missed Wednesday's practice and is questionable for Thursday's tilt against St. Louis.

Cirelli has 12 goals and 27 points in 28 outings this campaign. If Cirelli isn't available Thursday, then Cam Atkinson will probably draw into the lineup for the first time since Dec. 10.

  • Kraken's Mitchell Stephens: Reassigned to AHL

Stephens was sent to AHL Coachella Valley on Thursday.

Stephens has an assist in nine outings with Seattle as well as three goals and four points in 11 appearances with Coachella Valley in 2024-25. His demotion might be a result of Seattle acquiring Kaapo Kakko from the Rangers on Wednesday, and if that's the case, then Stephens might be in the minors for a significant amount of time.

  • Devin Shore C | MIN

Wild's Devin Shore: Sent to minors

Shore was assigned to AHL Iowa on Thursday.

Shore was waived by the Wild on Wednesday but remained with the team after clearing waivers since Yakov Trenin (upper body) remained sidelined. Shore hasn't made a significant impact for Minnesota this year, logging 18 hits and seven blocked shots while averaging 8:11 of ice time. Trenin was placed on injured reserve Thursday, but it's possible that the Wild call up another forward to fill in during his ongoing absence.

  • Yakov Trenin C | MIN

Wild's Yakov Trenin: Lands on injured reserve

Trenin (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.

Trenin has missed the last three games due to his upper-body injury, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action. Prior to his absence, he logged two goals, an assist, 82 hits, 15 blocked shots and 14 PIM while averaging 13:37 of ice time over 29 appearances this season. Devin Shore was also sent to AHL Iowa on Thursday, so it's not yet clear who will occupy a fourth-line role for the Wild during the team's back-to-back set that includes games against Utah on Friday and against Winnipeg on Saturday.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Golden Knights' Nicolas Roy: Suffers upper-body injury

Roy will not be in the lineup Thursday against Vancouver, as he is battling an upper-body injury, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Roy will miss his first game of the season. He has six goals and 13 points in 31 appearances this season. Tanner Laczynski will replace Roy on the roster and see third-line duty alongside Tomas Hertl and Alexander Holtz.

  • Tyler Johnson: Placed on unconditional waivers

The Bruins put Johnson on unconditional waivers Thursday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

Johnson attended training camp on a professional tryout agreement with the Bruins and finally inked a one-year deal Nov. 4. Johnson played nine games with Boston this season, picking up a pair of assists while averaging 13:05 of ice time.

  • Devils' Justin Dowling: Recalled Thursday

Dowling was called up by the Devils on Thursday.

Dowling has two goals and three points over 21 appearances with New Jersey in 2024-25. He also has two goals and four points across seven outings with AHL Utica. Dowling cleared waivers Tuesday and was briefly sent to the minors before being recalled.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Laczynski: Called up by Vegas

Laczynski was recalled from AHL Henderson on Thursday.

Laczynski was sent to the minors ahead of the regular season, and he's recorded six goals and 13 assists over 17 appearances with the Silver Knights to begin the year. The 27-year-old hasn't played in the NHL since the 2022-23 season, when he made 32 appearances for the Flyers, but he'll likely at least be available as a depth option for the Golden Knights while Ivan Barbashev (upper body) is sidelined.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Earns helper in return

Barkov logged an assist in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Wild.

Barkov returned from a two-game absence due to an illness, though the lopsided nature of this contest allowed the Panthers to take it easy on their top center. He saw just 16:01 of ice time and set up a Matthew Tkachuk tally at 15:28 of the second period. Barkov is up to 30 points, 55 shots on net, 27 hits, 21 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 23 appearances, so fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to have him active again.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Provides helper in win

Rodrigues produced an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Wild.

Rodrigues ended his five-game slump with the helper. He has two goals and three assists over the five contests prior to that dry spell, but his offense often fluctuates in a middle-six role. The 31-year-old forward is up to 16 points, 60 shots on net, 46 hits, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 33 appearances. Rodrigues' fantasy value is high enough for him to be a factor in deeper formats, especially those that count hits.
