Macklin Celebrini C | SJ
Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Trio of points in victory
Celebrini potted two goals, including one on the power play, and added a helper in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Celebrini set up Tyler Toffoli's goal to open the scoring Thursday, and he found the back of the net twice in the middle frame to help the Sharks pick up the road win. Celebrini fired a team-high six shots on net, and he had one takeaway and a plus-1 rating in 17:18 of ice time. It was the 18-year-old's second three-point outing of the season, and he's up to six multi-point performances in his first NHL campaign. The 2024 first-overall pick is hovering around a point-per-game pace with 10 goals and nine assists through 20 appearances.

Danton Heinen LW | CLB
Canucks' Danton Heinen: Snaps slump with goal
Heinen scored a goal, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Panthers.
Heinen ended a 10-game point drought with his first-period tally. The lopsided nature of the contest also allowed him to see 16:46 of ice time, his most in a game since Nov. 26 versus the Bruins. The 29-year-old forward has four goals, 11 points, 26 shots on net, 32 hits and a plus-5 rating over 28 appearances, but he's mostly filled a bottom-six role this season.

Blake Coleman C | CGY
Flames' Blake Coleman: Offers helper in loss
Coleman notched an assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Lightning.
Coleman has contributed two helpers over five games in December. He set up a Connor Zary tally in the second period of this contest, bringing the Flames within a goal, though that's where the comeback effort stalled out. For the season, Coleman has five goals, seven assists, 66 shots on net, 57 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating through 30 appearances. He's a reliable two-way forward, but his offense is likely too limited to give him widespread appeal in fantasy.

Connor Zary C | CGY
Flames' Connor Zary: Puts away goal in loss
Zary scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Lightning.
Zary's point streak is up to four games (two goals, two assists) after his second-period tally Thursday. The center has added 10 shots on net in that span. Zary is up to seven goals, nine assists, 61 shots on net and a minus-8 rating over 30 contests, but he's trending in the right direction. His offense hasn't taken a step forward from last year (34 points in 63 games), though Zary has been learning to play center at the NHL level after spending much of 2023-24 on the wing.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Flames' Nazem Kadri: Goals in consecutive outings
Kadri scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Lightning.
Kadri's penalty was a puck-over-glass infraction, which led to the Lightning's fourth goal. He responded just over a minute later to spark a comeback attempt in the second period, though it fizzled out in the third. Kadri has scored in back-to-back contests, and he's netted five of his 10 goals this season over the last nine games. The center is at 19 points, 97 shots on net, 21 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-17 rating through 30 appearances in a top-six role.

Jonathan Huberdeau C | CGY
Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Two more points in loss
Huberdeau scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Lightning.
Huberdeau has four goals and five helpers during his six-game point streak, and this was his second multi-point effort in a row. The winger is up to 11 goals, 10 assists, 51 shots on net, 26 blocked shots, 20 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 30 appearances. He had just 12 goals last season and 15 tallies the year before, so it appears Huberdeau will enjoy a bounce-back campaign in the scoring department.

Conor Geekie C | TB
Lightning's Conor Geekie: Pots goal in big win
Geekie scored a goal on six shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Flames.
Geekie has three points over four contests in December. The 20-year-old played on the second line at even strength in this contest, contributing one of four goals for the Lightning in the third period. His ice time still fluctuates a bit, as does his overall role, but he's been able to maintain a spot in the middle six. Geekie is up to five goals, four assists, 36 shots on net, 44 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 27 appearances.

Anthony Cirelli C | TB
Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Returns with three-point effort
Cirelli scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two assists in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Flames.
While the Lightning's top line and first power-play unit did most of the damage, Cirelli was able to chip in with a big game from the second line as well. The 27-year-old returned from a one-game absence due to an upper-body injury and logged 15:32 of ice time. That's less than usual for the center, but it was likely a product of the lopsided score, though his two assists came in the third period. Cirelli is now at 12 goals, 15 helpers, 55 shots on net and a plus-15 rating through 26 appearances this season.

Brayden Point C | TB
Lightning's Brayden Point: Racks up four points in win
Point scored a goal on three shots and added three assists in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Flames.
Point's goal and two of his helpers came on the power play. This was his third four-point effort in the last four games, a span in which he has three goals and 10 assists. The 28-year-old center is up to 19 tallies, 15 assists, 52 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 23 appearances this season. Point can be just as good as linemate Jake Guentzel and offers a strong complement to his other winger, Nikita Kucherov, and that's been abundantly clear in recent games.

Alexei Protas C | WAS
Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Three-game, five-point streak
Protas scored twice in a 2-1 win over Columbus on Thursday.
Protas has five points (three goals, two assists) during a three-game point streak. He also has a remarkable 26 points, including 11 goals, over 28 games this season. Those 26 points tie him with Connor McMichael for second on the team in scoring. Protas has been a revelation on the Capitals' top line this season, and he's continued to score without Alex Ovechkin (leg) driving the play. Protas is a worthy fantasy acquisition.
