  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Canucks' J.T. Miller: Back on ice Tuesday

Miller (personal) skated with the Canucks on Tuesday but won't be in the lineup against the Blues, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Miller's return to the ice certainly seems like a positive sign with Thursday's clash with Florida a possible return date, per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia. The 31-year-old center will miss his 10th game Tuesday and should probably be considered day-to-day at this point.

  • Sam Carrick C | BUF

Rangers' Sam Carrick: Sets up lone goal in loss

Carrick registered a shorthanded assist in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Blackhawks.

The helper ended an 11-game slump for Carrick, though he has maintained steady usage as the Rangers' fourth-line center in that span. He set up Will Cuylle for the tally in the first period of Monday's defeat. Carrick has five points, 23 shots on net, 39 hits, 21 PIM and a plus-1 rating across 27 appearances, and it's unlikely he'll score enough to generate significant fantasy interest.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Finds twine in shootout loss

Thompson scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Red Wings.

Thompson took some time to get on track after a five-game absence due to a lower-body injury, returning with three scoreless outings. He's since scored four times over four games. The 27-year-old is up to 15 goals, 22 points, 77 shots on net, 20 hits and a plus-1 rating through 23 contests this season. Thompson is locked in as the Sabres' top center and should offer steady offense and decent power-play production.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

Canucks' Max Sasson: Back with big club

Sasson was summoned from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Sasson has contributed two assists, four shots on goal, two blocked shots and six hits in seven NHL outings this season. He will probably occupy a fourth-line role against St. Louis on Tuesday.

  • Boone Jenner C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Returns to ice

Jenner (shoulder) has resumed skating, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports Tuesday.

Jenner has yet to suit up this season after undergoing shoulder surgery in October. It was reported that Columbus' captain would miss 5-6 months, with general manager Don Waddell saying the club hopes Jenner will be able to return to game action March 1 against Detroit, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic. The 31-year-old produced 22 goals and 35 points over 58 regular-season games in 2023-24.

  • Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Status uncertain for Tuesday

Tomasino (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's home matchup with the Avalanche, per Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Tomasino is in danger of missing back-to-back games, as he skated in a non-contact jersey Monday. The Ontario native has been a jolt to the Penguins lineup since being acquired in a trade from Nashville in November. The right-shot forward has potted three goals and added an assist over five appearances with his new club. Cody Glass will likely remain on the second line for Tuesday's contest.

  • Kirby Dach C | MON

Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Finds twine vs. Anaheim

Dach scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Ducks.

Dach found the back of the net in the early stages of the second period, and he did it only 11 seconds after Troy Terry had given Anaheim the lead with a power-play goal. This was Dach's second marker of the season -- and first since Oct. 26 -- and he has only nine points across 28 games this season, so he doesn't have a lot of fantasy value despite holding a top-six role.

  • Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Good to go

Sillinger (lower body) will be in the lineup Tuesday against the Flyers, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic relays.

Sillinger departed Sunday's road game in Winnipeg after blocking a shot in the second period. The 21-year-old will slot in on the third line and No. 2 power-play unit. Sillinger has generated four goals and 18 points through 26 appearances.

  • Ryan McLeod C | BUF

Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Two-point effort Monday

McLeod dished two assists in Monday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Red Wings.

The former Oiler had a hand in a pair of Jason Zucker tallies, snapping a nine-game point drought for McLeod. Prior to the slump, he'd racked up six goals and 12 points in the previous 15 games, and the streaky 25-year-old is still on track for a career-best season with 14 points in 28 contests.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Two helpers against Wings

Krebs notched two assists in Monday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Red Wings.

Both helpers came in the first period as the Sabres jumped out to a 3-2 lead that eventually slipped away. It was the first multi-point performance of the season for Krebs, and it snapped a six-game point drought. On the season, the 23-year-old center has just three goals and nine points in 27 appearances despite seeing some time in the top six for Buffalo.
