  • Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Pockets helper Friday

Sundqvist produced an assist in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers.

Sundqvist had been a scratch for the previous two games after going without a point over four contests following his return from an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old forward continues to fill a bottom-six role, so his chances on offense are likely to remain limited. Sundqvist is at 15 points, 36 shots on net, 59 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 48 appearances.

  • Pius Suter C | STL

Blues' Pius Suter: Sparks comeback Friday

Suter scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers.

Suter got the Blues on the board at 12:22 of the third period, cutting the Oilers' advantage to 2-1 at the time. The 29-year-old has scored twice over his last four contests. He continues to fill a middle-six role as a reliable all-around forward. For the season, Suter has 10 goals, 21 points, 78 shots on net, 33 hits, 19 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 49 outings.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Nets overtime winner

Thomas scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers.

Thomas is playing through a suspected hand injury, which is preventing him from taking faceoffs. It's not slowing him down on offense -- he extended his point streak to seven games with the game-winning tally Friday. During the streak, he has five goals and six assists, and he's up to 16 goals, 44 points, 76 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 49 appearances.

  • Kyle MacLean C | NYI

Islanders' Kyle MacLean: Fading out of lineup

MacLean was a healthy scratch for the third game in a row in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Kings.

MacLean played regularly from December up to the trade deadline, but the Islanders' addition of Brayden Schenn has bumped him out of the lineup. The 26-year-old MacLean had gone 17 games without a goal prior to this run of scratches, and he had just two assists in that span. It'll be tough for him to make an impact when he plays, as he's stuck on the fourth line, which has limited him to six points, 35 shots on net, 93 hits, 33 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 47 appearances this season.

  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Posts pair of helpers

Horvat notched two assists and two PIM in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Kings.

Horvat wasn't able to score for a fourth straight game, but he stayed productive with the secondary helper on both of Emil Heineman's goals. The 30-year-old Horvat has seven goals and five assists over his last 10 contests. For the season, the center is up to 28 goals, 19 helpers, 177 shots on net, 44 hits, 35 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 52 appearances.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Finds twine in win

Kopitar scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Kopitar's four-game point streak was snapped in Boston on Tuesday, but he's right back at it. The addition of Artemi Panarin via trade has boosted Kopitar's production as the Kings look to keep pace in the playoff race. Kopitar is up to eight goals, 28 points, 67 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating across 50 outings this season.

  • Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Puts up four points in WHL blowout

Cootes scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Prince Albert's 11-0 win over Moose Jaw on Friday.

Most of the Raiders' lineup had good games, and Cootes was right there with them. He had missed a bit of time due to an injury earlier in March, but he looks good to go now. Cootes is up to 22 goals and 57 points through 42 appearances between Prince Albert and Seattle in his fourth campaign in the WHL. The 19-year-old forward could compete for a spot with the Canucks in 2026-27, as the team is severely lacking in talent, especially at center.

  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Racks up three more points

Hagens scored twice and added an assist in Boston College's 5-0 win over the University of Maine on Friday.

Hagens is up to 23 goals and 45 points through 33 appearances this season. He leads the team by eight points over the the next closest player, fellow Bruins prospect Dean Letourneau, who had a goal and an assist. Hagens will look to keep BC rolling for the Hockey East semifinals next Friday.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Missing rest of season

Matthews (knee/quad) sustained a Grade 3 MCL tear and a quadriceps contusion Thursday versus the Ducks. He will be reevaluated in two weeks, but he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Matthews took a knee-on-knee hit from Radko Gudas, and it will be enough to end the Toronto captain's campaign. The Maple Leafs haven't been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race yet, but it's hard to see a path forward for them to get there without Matthews. He ends the campaign with 27 goals and 53 points over 60 appearances, his lowest scoring numbers in any of his 10 NHL campaigns. It's unclear if he'll be cleared in time to have the option to represent Team USA at the IIHF World Championship.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Not playing Friday

Nugent-Hopkins (personal) won't play in Friday's game versus the Blues, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

Nugent-Hopkins is away from the team for the time being. Max Jones will enter the lineup, but Matt Savoie is poised for the biggest bump in usage. Nugent-Hopkins' next chance to play is Sunday at home versus the Predators.
