  • David Kampf C | WAS

    Capitals' David Kampf: Remains unavailable

Kampf (not injury related/personal) has not rejoined the Capitals for Wednesday's game versus the Senators, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Kampf returned to Vancouver on Sunday to be with his wife ahead of the birth of their second child. Kampf will be unavailable indefinitely until his child is born and his visa paperwork gets completed, which initially kept him out of the lineup after he was acquired from the Canucks at the trade deadline.

  • Ivan Ivan C | COL

Avalanche's Ivan Ivan: Called up Wednesday

Ivan was promoted from AHL Colorado on Wednesday.

The Avalanche seemingly want to switch away from a seven-defensemen lineup, and Ivan will come up as a 12th healthy forward. He'll likely fill a fourth-line role in Wednesday's contest against Dallas. Ivan will probably return to the AHL once the Avalanche get Ross Colton (upper body) back.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Slides helper Tuesday

Wennberg notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers.

After being a game-time decision, Wennberg returned from a one-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old logged 19:19 of ice time while playing in all situations, so he should be good to go as long as he avoids setbacks. He's up to 44 points, 78 shots on met, 79 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating over 65 appearances. In terms of point production, this is his best campaign since his career year of 59 points in 80 outings during the 2016-17 regular season.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Forces overtime Tuesday

Toews scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Predators.

Toews' tally with 1:01 left in regulation forced overtime. He had been limited to three assists over his previous 20 outings, but that followed a four-game goal streak from Jan. 9-15. The veteran center is now at 22 points, 89 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-17 rating across 67 appearances this season.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Two assists in shootout win

Marchessault recorded a pair of assists, three shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Jets.

Marchessault has five assists during his seven-game goal drought. The 35-year-old winger has remained productive while picking up 15 shots on net in that span, but he could use some better puck luck. He's at 23 points, 110 shots on net, 62 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-18 rating through 48 appearances this season.

  • Sam Lafferty C | CHI

Blackhawks' Sam Lafferty: Not taking advantage of chances

Lafferty was in the lineup for a fourth straight game Tuesday in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Wild.

Lafferty has played in just six of 28 games since the start of January, though he has seen an uptick in usage since Oliver Moore (lower body) exited the lineup. However, Lafferty could be the player to lose his place once Sacha Boisvert's visa paperwork is completed, paving the way for him to join the Blackhawks. In a part-time role this season, Lafferty has earned a meager two points with six shots on net, 29 hits and 14 PIM over 23 outings.

  • Ryan Greene C | CHI

Blackhawks' Ryan Greene: Contributes goal Tuesday

Greene scored a goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Wild.

Greene has two goals and an assist over eight games in March. He's getting a look on the top line, but his offense is still a work in progress at this early stage of his career. The 22-year-old is up to nine goals, 24 points, 92 shots on net, 38 hits and 33 blocked shots over 66 appearances in his rookie year.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Good to return Wednesday

Crosby (lower body) is set to be activated off injured reserve and play Wednesday versus Carolina, per Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site.

Crosby suffered the injury while playing for Team Canada during the 2026 Winter Olympics and has missed Pittsburgh's past 11 games as a result. He has 27 goals and 59 points in 56 appearances with the Penguins in 2025-26. Crosby is projected to center the top line and play alongside Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust. Anthony Mantha is moving off the top unit, while Ville Koivunen is expected to be a healthy scratch.

  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Two-point effort Tuesday

Nazar produced a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota.

After helping to set up a first-period tally by Louis Crevier, Nazar forced OT by converting a Connor Bedard feed on a two-on-one break with only 100 seconds left in regulation. Nazar has delivered multi-point performances in four of the last six games, a stretch in which the 22-year-old center has racked up four goals and nine points.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Two helpers in OT loss

Bedard notched two assists in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Wild.

The 20-year-old center was a big reason why Chicago even came away with a point in the standings, as Bedard helped set up tallies by Ryan Greene in the second period and Frank Nazar in the third to erase an early 3-1 deficit. Bedard has produced multi-point performances in three of the last four games, and in 10 contests since the Olympic break, he's amassed four goals and 11 points. Despite missing 12 games in December and January due to a shoulder injury, he needs only three more goals to reach 30 for the first time, and he's six points shy of his first 70-point campaign.
