  • Dylan Strome C | WAS

Capitals' Dylan Strome: In on all three goals in loss

Strome scored twice and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.

This was Strome's first multi-point effort since Dec. 29 versus the Panthers. Two of his points came on the power play in this contest. He's picked up three goals and four assists, including five power-play points, over the last six games. For the season, the veteran center has 13 goals, 40 points (14 on the power play), 96 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 49 appearances.

  • David Kampf C | WAS

Canucks' David Kampf: Pockets pair of helpers

Kampf registered two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Capitals.

Kampf has earned three assists over the last two games after going without a point in his first nine contests in January. The 31-year-old forward continues to fill a middle-six role for the Canucks. He's earned six points, 29 shots on net, 34 hits, 16 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 29 appearances since joining Vancouver following the termination of his contract with Toronto in mid-November.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Strikes on power play in win

Beniers scored a power-play goal on five shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.

Beniers continues to play well in January -- he has earned seven goals and four assists over 12 outings this month. For the season, he's up to 11 goals, 32 points (10 on the power play), 93 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 49 appearances. Beniers remains on pace for a 50-point campaign, a threshold he hasn't reached since his rookie year in the 2022-23 regular season.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Produces pair of points

McCann scored an empty-net goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.

McCann had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games. This was his third multi-point outing in his last nine contests. The 29-year-old has been productive when healthy this season, collecting 11 goals, 21 points (nine on the power play), 61 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 25 appearances. Injuries will cost him the chance at a fourth straight 60-point campaign, but his current pace is in line with that level of production.

  • Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Nets lone goal in loss

Sharangovich scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins.

Sharangovich got the Flames on the board late in the second period, but the momentum didn't carry over to the third. He's scored three goals and added three assists over his last five outings for one of his best runs of the season. The 27-year-old forward is now at 11 goals, 20 points, 87 shots on net and a minus-14 rating through 46 appearances. Sharangovich is a viable offense-only option in deeper formats while he's running hot.

  • Tommy Novak C | PIT

Penguins' Thomas Novak: Earns two points in win

Novak scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged two PIM and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Flames.

Novak snapped a seven-game goal drought with his third-period tally. The 28-year-old forward has earned five points over his last four outings and should stick on the second line as long as his offense is steady. He's up to nine goals, 26 points, 74 shots on net, 20 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 49 appearances this season.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Goal, assist in win

Malkin scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Flames.

Malkin earned his second multi-point effort in the last four games. The 39-year-old has three goals and five helpers over his last eight outings, showing no rust after a month-long absence due to an upper-body injury. He's up to 11 goals, 37 points, 87 shots on net, 26 PIM and a plus-12 rating over 34 appearances this season, putting him on track to easily surpass the 50-point effort he had over 68 outings a year ago.

  • Jan Mysak C | ANA

Ducks' Jan Mysak: Pots pair in AHL win

Mysak scored two goals in AHL San Diego's 5-3 win over Tucson on Wednesday.

Mysak has put together a decent season so far with nine goals and 11 helpers over 38 contests. He had been limited to one assist over the previous eight games. Mysak, a second-round pick of the Canadiens from 2020, has yet to make his NHL debut. He signed with the Ducks on a two-way contract for this season.

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Won't play Wednesday

Huberdeau (lower body) is set to miss Wednesday's game versus the Penguins.

It's not clear when Huberdeau sustained the injury, as he logged 17:02 of ice time versus the Devils on Monday. The 32-year-old hasn't missed time since he was out for the first five games of the season due to an undisclosed injury. His latest issue comes in the midst of an eight-game point drought, which he won't be able to snap until he's healthy again.

  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Not playing Wednesday

McTavish (upper body) is a late scratch for Wednesday's game versus the Avalanche.

McTavish's absence will thin out the Ducks' center group even more than it already is. He joins Leo Carlsson (thigh) on the shelf. Jansen Harkins will draw into the lineup, but Ryan Poehling may see a bigger boost in minutes to cover McTavish's absence.
