  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Finds twine in loss

Eichel scored a goal on three shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Mammoth in Game 3.

Eichel has earned three points, seven shots on net, four hits and four blocked shots over three playoff contests. He got the Golden Knights on the board in the second period, but a comeback didn't follow. Eichel has been fine offensively so far, and Vegas will need him to at least continue this level of play as they try to overcome a 2-1 series deficit.

  • Oilers' Jason Dickinson: Out of action again

Dickinson (undisclosed) will not play Friday in Game 3 versus the Ducks, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Dickinson has been labeled a game-time decision ahead of each contest of the postseason, but he'll be out of action for the second time in three games. The 30-year-old's nagging injury is likely to be a factor at least through the rest of the first round, if not longer. The Oilers will roll with the same personnel, but with different line combinations, in Dickinson's absence Friday.

  • Ducks' Jansen Harkins: Full participant at morning skate

Harkins (hand) was a full participant in Friday's morning skate, but he won't suit up for Game 3 versus the Oilers, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

Harkins is quickly approaching the four-week mark in his recovery from hand surgery, which was his expected timetable. His full participation Friday is a positive sign, though at this time, it's not clear if he'll be cleared to play before the end of the first round. The Ducks may also opt to keep him in the press box if the bottom six continues to be effective as it is currently composed. Harkins is also competing with Ross Johnston (lower body) to get into the lineup once both are clear of their injuries.

  • Oilers' Jason Dickinson: Game-time call Friday

Dickinson (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Game 3 against Anaheim on Friday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.

Dickinson was also a game-time call for the Oilers' opening two playoff outings this year. He ended up playing in Game 1 but was held out of Game 2. Curtis Lazar will probably be a healthy scratch if Dickinson is available Friday.

  • Yakov Trenin C | MIN

Wild's Yakov Trenin: Ruled out for Game 4

Trenin (upper body) has been ruled out for Saturday's Game 4 against the Stars, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.

Trenin suffered his upper-body injury during Monday's Game 2, and he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive matchup Saturday. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action, but his next opportunity to do so will be in Game 5 on Tuesday.

  • Noah Ostlund C | BUF

Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Two points in Game 3 return

Ostlund scored a goal and added an assist Thursday during the Sabres' 3-1 win over the Bruins in Game 3 of their first-round series.

The rookie center had a hand in a Bowen Byram tally that got Buffalo on the board midway through the second period, before Ostlund hustled for an empty-netter late in the third. Ostlund had been sidelined since March 27 due to an upper-body injury, missing the Sabres' last 12 games, but he made an immediate impact in his return after producing 11 goals and 27 points in 60 regular-season contests.

  • Nick Cousins C | OTT

Senators' Nick Cousins: Gathers helper Thursday

Cousins notched an assist and five hits in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3.

Goals have been hard to find for the Senators -- they're getting outscored 7-3 over three games in this first-round series. Cousins has gone 13 contests without scoring, picking up three helpers in that span. He's a veteran of 68 playoff games prior to this year, in which he earned 15 points over seven separate postseason runs. Cousins had 23 points, 79 shots on net, 92 PIM, 169 hits and 41 blocked shots over 81 regular-season outings this year.

  • Brock Nelson C | COL

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Fills empty cage

Nelson scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Nelson entered this contest on an 11-game goal drought, and he hadn't earned a point over his last four contests. He was able to snap the slump with an empty-netter, and he's added six shots on net, six hits, six blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over three playoff games. Prior to this year, Nelson accumulated 27 goals and 27 assists over 85 postseason appearances across nine playoff runs.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Makes franchise history with goal

Stankoven scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Ottawa in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round on Thursday.

Stankoven became the first player in franchise history to open the scoring in three straight Stanley Cup Playoff games. He went bar down over the blocker of Linus Ullmark early in the first to stake the Hurricanes to a 1-0 lead. Stankoven (three goals, one assist) and linemates Taylor Hall (one goal, four assists) and Jackson Blake (one goal, three assists) have accounted for almost all of the team's offense. The Hurricanes lead the series 3-0 and can move to the next round with a victory Saturday.

  • Oilers' Adam Henrique: Will miss next two games

Henrique (lower body) won't travel with the Oilers to Anaheim, per Ryan Rishaug of TSN, which rules him out for Game 3 on Friday and Game 4 on Sunday.

Henrique logged just 2:56 of ice time in Game 1 of Edmonton's first-round series against the Ducks because of the injury, and he didn't participate in Game 2. He had three goals and 15 points in 65 regular-season outings in 2025-26.
