  • Jack McBain C | UTA

Mammoth's Jack McBain: Slated to play Wednesday

McBain (illness) is expected to be in the lineup Wednesday versus the Avalanche.

McBain missed Tuesday's practice session, but he looks to be feeling well enough to play a day later. He's listed on the second line as a winger alongside Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther. McBain has 19 points in 57 appearances this season.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Getting extra rest

MacKinnon (not injury related) won't play Wednesday versus the Mammoth, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

MacKinnon will get a little extra rest following the Olympics, where he helped Canada to the silver medal, for maintenance purposes. The 30-year-old's status for Thursday at home versus the Wild has not yet been announced.

  • Filip Chytil C | VAN

Canucks' Filip Chytil: Heads to injured reserve

Chytil (face) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

Chytil's move to IR frees up a roster spot with a trio of Canucks forwards coming back from injuries after the Olympic break. He is out indefinitely due to a facial fracture, and given his lengthy history of head and upper-body injuries, he could get shut down for the year at some point.

  • Ben Meyers C | SEA

Kraken's Ben Meyers: Off injured reserve

Meyers (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday, per Sound of Hockey.

Meyers is now eligible to return to the lineup Wednesday versus the Stars. The 27-year-old had earned three points over two games prior to missing the Kraken's last seven contests before the Olympic break. Meyers is likely slated for fourth-line duties, assuming he plays Wednesday.

  • Kraken's Berkly Catton: Lifted from injured reserve

Catton (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday, per Sound of Hockey.

Catton is clear to return to the lineup versus the Stars on Wednesday, though it's not yet clear if he'll play. The 20-year-old should be expected to settle into a middle-six role. He had six points over 16 outings in January prior to his three-game injury absence.

  • Maple Leafs' Dakota Joshua: Removed from LTIR

Joshua (lacerated kidney) was taken off long-term injured reserve Wednesday.

Even with his activation, Joshua is in line to be a healthy scratch versus the Lightning on Wednesday. Prior to his long-term absence, the 29-year-old winger had gone six games without registering a point, though he did dish out 22 hits over that stretch. Whenever Joshua does get into the lineup, it figures to be in a bottom-six role.

  • Kraken's Berkly Catton: Game-time decision Wednesday

Catton (upper body) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Dallas.

Catton has five goals and 11 points in 40 outings in 2025-26. He was last in the lineup Jan. 29. Catton will probably serve in the bottom six if he's healthy enough to return Wednesday. Catton isn't the only question mark for Seattle going into the game. Jaden Schwartz (lower body) and Ben Meyers (lower body) also might return from injury.

  • Ben Meyers C | SEA

    Kraken's Ben Meyers: Game-time call

Meyers (lower body) is expected to be a game-time decision Wednesday versus Dallas.

Meyers has five goals and 11 points in 31 outings in 2025-26. He hasn't been in the lineup since Jan. 21 due to the injury. Berkly Catton (upper body) and Jaden Schwartz (lower body) are also questionable, so there are a lot of unknowns regarding Seattle's forward corps going into Wednesday's action.

  • Kings' Alex Turcotte: Playing Wednesday

Turcotte (upper body) was taken off injured reserve and will feature in Wednesday's matchup with Vegas, per NHL.com.

Turcotte returns to the lineup after missing six games. Despite recording 15 shots in his last eight appearances, the 24-year-old center has been unable to put one into the net. With Vegas missing several Olympic participants, Turcotte could have a decent chance of breaking out of his slump Wednesday.

  • Golden Knights' Colton Sissons: Returning to action Wednesday

Sissons (upper body) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Kings, according to Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now.

Sissons missed 12 straight games before the Olympic break. Across 41 appearances this season, he's recorded three goals, three assists, 61 hits, 26 blocked shots and 15 PIM while averaging 11:48 of playing time.
