  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Two helpers against former club

Brindley picked up two assists in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Blue Jackets.

Facing the team that selected him 34th overall in the 2023 Draft, Brindley snapped an 11-game point drought by having a hand in a pair of Brent Burns tallies, including the GWG in the first period. Brindley has shown occasional glimpses of upside in his first full season in the NHL, and through his first 31 games with Colorado he's managed five goals and 11 points with 37 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-8 rating.

  • Kraken's Berkly Catton: Lights lamp Saturday

Catton scored a goal and fired three shots on net in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Catton gave the Kraken a 2-1 lead early in the third period before the team ultimately lost in regulation. The 19-year-old forward is up to three goals, eight points, 34 shots on net and 16 blocks through his first 30 games in the NHL. While his primary value in fantasy is being a strong dynasty-league stash, Catton has established some short-term value with three goals in as many games. Catton's playmaking has been inconsistent throughout the first half of the season, but his first three goals at the NHL level should boost his confidence moving forward. He should continue to play a middle-six winger role for the rest of his rookie season.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Finds twine in loss

Beniers scored a goal and put two shots on net in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Carolina.

In the opening period, Beniers scored Seattle's first goal of the evening to tie the game at one apiece. Since Dec. 22, he has elevated the Kraken's offense with five goals and 10 points in 10 games. The 23-year-old center has nine goals, 28 points, 82 shots on net and 37 blocks through 43 games this season. Seattle currently ranks 25th in the NHL with 2.74 goals per game, which is a number that has greatly improved over the last month. A large part of this recent success can be attributed to Beniers, who is tied for the team lead in points with captain Jordan Eberle. As a center who covers categories, Beniers' stock in fantasy is on the rise, giving him viability in most formats moving forward.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Playmaking hero in clutch

Staal recorded two assists and blocked a shot in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.

Staal delivered two helpers in crunch time with a primary assist on Jordan Martinook's game-tying tally and a secondary apple on William Carrier's go-ahead score. With the pair of helpers, Staal now has nine assists, 19 points, 51 shots on net, 74 hits and 24 blocks through 42 games this season. Carolina's captain has provided decent all-around value since the start of December with 10 points, 21 shots on net, 32 hits and 12 blocks over the last 19 games. He should continue to play a key role at center in all situations for the Hurricanes, giving him solid fantasy value in deep leagues.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Extends goal streak to four

Stankoven scored a goal and placed two shots on net in Saturday's 3-2 win over Seattle.

Stankoven's hot streak continued Saturday when he tallied the opening goal of the contest less than four minutes into the first period. The 22-year-old center has a goal in each of his last four games and a point streak that spans across the last five contests. Overall, he has 10 goals, 22 points and 94 shots on net through 45 outings this season. While the young forward has been inconsistent at times this season, his recent success has helped the Hurricanes build up a four-game winning streak. He's one of the top streaming options across nearly all fantasy formats while his scoring streak is active.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Offers pair of helpers

Krebs logged two assists in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Ducks.

Krebs helped out on goals by Tage Thompson and Bowen Byram in this contest. The 24-year-old Krebs snapped a four-game point drought with his second multi-point outing of the season. He's now at 16 points (three goals, 13 assists), 50 shots on net, 102 hits, 44 PIM, 26 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 43 appearances this season. He's an intriguing option for fantasy managers in deeper formats since he continues to play on the Sabres' top line.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Fills empty cage

Norris scored an empty-net goal on four shots, blocked three shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Ducks.

The Ducks pushed late, but Norris slammed the door after Alex Tuch won a puck battle. Norris has two empty-net goals and four assists over his last seven contests. The 26-year-old is up to six goals, 16 points, 27 shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 17 appearances. He should remain productive in a top-six role as long as he can stay healthy.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Career-best 18-game point streak

McDavid scored a power-play goal on five shots and added two hits in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kings.

With the third-period tally, McDavid set a personal record with an 18-game point streak. The heater started Dec. 4, and he's racked up 19 goals and 23 helpers over the streak. Those 42 points alone would rank in a tie for 34th in the league for the whole season. Luckily, McDavid's been plenty good to his fantasy managers all year, with 30 goals and 78 points over 45 appearances to regain a share of the league lead alongside Nathan MacKinnon through Saturday's action. If McDavid can add two more games to his streak, he'll have the first 20-gamer for the Oilers since the 1985-86 season, when both Wayne Gretzky (39 games) and Paul Coffey (28 games) did it.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Two goals in shootout loss

Draisaitl scored twice on six shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kings.

Draisaitl had the Oilers' first two tallies of the contest, but neither lead he created was able to last. The 30-year-old superstar is up to six goals and 11 points over his last eight outings. For the season, he's racked up 23 goals, 63 points, 128 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 45 appearances.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Goal, assist in loss

Thomas scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

Thomas was in on both of the Blues' goals for his first multi-point effort since Dec. 27. This was also just his second goal in his last nine outings. The playmaking center is up to 11 goals, 33 points (nine on the power play), 60 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating across 42 appearances.
