  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Contributes three points for BC

Hagens scored a goal and added two assists in Boston College's 7-1 win over Stonehill College on Friday.

Hagens is up to 11 goals and 10 assists through 17 NCAA games this season. He's also coming off a fairly successful World Junior Championship for Team USA, where he had two goals and five assists over five outings despite the Americans' quarterfinals exit. Hagens is doing well at all levels of play this year, rewarding the Bruins' faith for taking him seventh overall in 2025.

  • Jets' Morgan Barron: Not in Friday's lineup

Barron (undisclosed) will not play Friday versus the Kings, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Barron's injury is unknown, but it'll be enough to cost him at least one game. The 27-year-old will be replaced in the lineup by Vladislav Namestnikov, who was a healthy scratch Thursday versus the Oilers.

  • Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Up from minors

Dries was recalled by Detroit on Friday.

Dries has 11 goals and 25 points in 26 appearances with AHL Grand Rapids in 2025-26. The 31-year-old hasn't played in the NHL since the 2022-23 campaign, when he recorded 11 goals and 17 points in 63 regular-season appearances with Vancouver.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Offers two helpers

Scheifele notched two assists in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.

Scheifele has five points over the last six games, but that production has come from a pair of multi-point efforts. The 32-year-old remains one of the Jets' most reliable forwards even as his consistency has faltered in recent weeks. He's at 50 points (20 goals, 30 assists), 91 shots on net, 22 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 42 outings this season.

  • Mammoth's Kevin Stenlund: Playing Friday

Stenlund (illness) will be back in the lineup versus the Blues on Friday, per NHL.com.

Stenlund's return from an illness means Kailer Yamamoto figures to be headed back up to the press box as a healthy scratch. In his 43 appearances this year, the 29-year-old Stenlund has generated three goals and seven helpers, well off his 2024-25 pace in which he racked up 28 points in 82 regular-season tilts.

  • Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Activated from injured reserve

Protas (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Friday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Protas will return after missing the last three games. He is having another fine season with 16 goals and 15 assists in 41 appearances, with only one assist coming via the power play, as Protas averages only 39 seconds of playing time with the man advantage.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Won't play Friday

Kopitar (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Jets, NHL.com reports.

Kopitar will be unavailable for a second consecutive matchup due to a lower-body injury. He's considered day-to-day, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up in the second half of the back-to-back set Saturday against Edmonton.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Logs assist in return

Miller notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in 20:24 of ice time in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Sabres.

Miller was able to take a full workload in his first game back after missing seven contests due to an upper-body injury. The 32-year-old should be a lock for top-six usage and minutes in all situations moving forward. He's produced 23 points, 80 shots, 76 hits and a minus-12 rating across 36 outings this season.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Finds twine in loss

Trocheck scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and doled out four hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Sabres.

Trocheck has six goals and five assists over his last 10 outings. The 32-year-old center continues to make an all-around impact with both offense and physical play. He's up to 11 goals, 26 points, 54 shots on net, 104 hits, 25 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-8 rating across 31 appearances this season, mainly in a top-six role.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Nets another goal

Zibanejad scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Sabres.

Zibanejad's goal got the Rangers on the board at 9:34 of the second period. He's earned four goals and five assists over his last four contests for one of his best stretches of the campaign. Overall, the 32-year-old center has produced 16 goals, 38 points, 118 shots on net, 67 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 44 appearances. That puts him on track to top the 70-point mark after being limited to 62 points in 82 outings in 2024-25.
