The 31-year-old center has gone nine games without exceeding 20 minutes of ice time, slipping into middle-six usage rather than the top-six role he started the year in. He's now at 19 points, 65 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 37 appearances.

Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Fills empty cage
Sillinger scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Islanders.
Sillinger ended an eight-game goal drought with the empty-netter. He had two assists and a minus-6 rating in that span, a stretch that has seen him drop to the fourth line. His ice time bottomed out at 8:11 in Sunday's contest. Sillinger has four goals, 16 points, 69 shots on net, 40 hits and 16 PIM across 36 appearances this season.

Oilers' Connor Clattenburg: Removed from LTIR, sent to AHL
Clattenburg (eye) was activated from long-term injured reserve and assigned to AHL Bakersfield on Monday.
Following an 11-game absence, Clattenburg will return to action at the minor-league level. He has one goal, two points and 59 PIM in 15 AHL appearances this season. Clattenburg also has one goal, three shots on net, three blocked shots, 17 hits and 13 PIM in five NHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Not playing Monday
Kozak (upper body) won't play against St. Louis on Monday, Lou Korac of The Hockey News reports.
Kozak was a full participant in Sunday's practice, but he will miss his fifth straight game. He has contributed two goals, four points, 19 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 62 hits in 24 outings this season.

Hurricanes' Noah Philp: Claimed off waivers
Carolina claimed Philp off waivers from Edmonton on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Before being waived by the Oilers on Sunday, Philp missed 18 straight games due to an upper-body injury. Edmonton intended to send him to AHL Bakersfield if he cleared, but he will instead provide the Hurricanes with some forward depth. The 27-year-old has two goals, one assist, 12 shots on net and 24 hits across 15 NHL appearances this season.

Senators' Shane Pinto: Removed from IR
Pinto (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
Following a 10-game absence, Pinto appears to be ready to return to the lineup against Columbus on Monday. He has earned 12 goals, 18 points, 65 shots on net and 34 hits across 27 outings this campaign.

Penguins' Connor Dewar: Exits practice early
Dewar (undisclosed) left Monday's practice before its conclusion, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.
Dewar has six goals, 12 points, 55 shots and 69 hits in 37 appearances this season. There was no update regarding his status after practice, but if Dewar can't play Tuesday versus Carolina, then Kevin Hayes will probably draw back into the lineup.

Rangers' Sam Carrick: Game-time call
Carrick (illness) skated, but he's still considered a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Hurricanes, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
It's very encouraging that Carrick skated, so it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up being in the lineup. If he does play Monday, then Carrick will likely serve in a bottom-six capacity. Conor Sheary is expected to draw into the lineup if Carrick proves to be unavailable.

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Scores in loss to Columbus
Horvat scored a goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Playing in his second game since returning from a five-game absence due to a lower-body injury, Horvat found the back of the net midway through the second period with a wrister. It was his 20th goal of the season, and the first time he cracked the scoresheet since Dec. 9. Horvat is up to 32 points in 34 appearances this season while playing in a top-six role.

Blues' Pius Suter: Will miss at least four weeks
Suter will miss at least the next four weeks because of a right ankle injury, the team announced Monday.
Suter has seven goals and 14 points in 37 appearances with St. Louis this season. Robby Fabbri is expected to draw into the lineup for Monday's game against Buffalo due to Suter's absence.
