  • Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Cold on offense

Rasmussen's point drought reached 19 games in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.

Rasmussen skated a season-low 7:43 in Friday's loss. The 26-year-old is on the fourth line and plays a decent physical game, but he won't be a factor in fantasy without a little offense. He has just 14 points with 61 shots on net, 59 hits, 52 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 58 appearances.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Back in the lineup

Trocheck (roster management) will return to the lineup in New Jersey on Saturday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

Trocheck sat out Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs because the Rangers were looking to deal him at the trade deadline and did not want to risk an injury. The trade talks were unfruitful, and Trocheck remains on the roster. He is expected to center Will Cuylle and Taylor Raddysh on the second line, as well as seeing first power-play time. Trocheck has 12 goals, 27 assists and 139 hits over 46 contests this season.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Scores two goals in loss

Hyman scored two goals in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Even though Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl grab most of the headlines when it comes to the Oilers, Hyman has been excellent of late and has posted five goals in his five outings following the Olympic break. Over that stretch, the 33-year-old winger has also racked up two assists, 14 shots, two hits, three blocked shots, two PIM and an even rating.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Lights lamp Friday

Staal scored a goal on two shots and posted a plus-3 rating in Friday's 6-3 win over the Oilers.

Staal snapped a four-game goal drought with a third-period empty-netter that gave the Hurricanes a 5-3 lead. The 37-year-old veteran remains productive in a bottom-six role. He's up to 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists) in 59 contests in 2025-26. He looks poised to reach the 30-point plateau for a sixth straight season and could even hit the 40-point mark if he embarks on another hot streak. He hasn't recorded 40 points in a season since the 2017-18 campaign.

  • Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Poised to play

Protas (personal) will return to the lineup against Boston on Saturday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

After sitting out Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Utah, Protas will occupy a second-line role against the Bruins on Saturday. He has generated 20 goals, 42 points and 129 shots on net across 59 appearances this campaign.

  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Records two points in loss

Nazar had a goal, an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks.

Nazar assisted Ryan Donato's goal in the first period and also evened things up late in the second frame with a tip-in, giving him eight goals on the season. Nazar has now cracked the scoresheet in back-to-back games, something he hadn't achieved since Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. With this two-point performance, the 22-year-old has set a new career-high mark in points with 27 -- he notched 26 points in 53 games last season. He's also just four goals away from matching his career-best output in that category as well.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

Canucks' Max Sasson: Two points in win Friday

Sasson scored an empty-net goal and added an even-strength assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Sasson scored a goal for the first time since Jan. 19 and also recorded his first multi-point effort since Nov. 26, when he had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 win over the Ducks. Sasson is having a career-best season in the 2025-26 campaign. He has 11 goals and 14 points through 52 games.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Three-point effort in win

MacKinnon scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one with the man advantage, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

The 30-year-old superstar continues to lead the field in the race for the Rocket Richard Trophy, as his 42 goals are five ahead of Cole Caufield. MacKinnon also leads the league with a plus-55 rating, and his 103 points are second behind Connor McDavid's 106. Over seven games in February, MacKinnon has piled up two goals and 12 points.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Leads charge in comeback win

Necas scored a goal and added three assists, two on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

The 27-year-old not only had a hand in every Colorado goal during regulation, but he beat Jake Oettinger for the shootout-winner. Necas has multiple points in five of six games since the Olympic break, a blistering stretch in which he's racked up six goals and 14 points. Friday's tally was also his 28th of the season, tying his career high, and his stunning plus-43 rating ranks second in the NHL behind teammate Nathan MacKinnon's plus-55.

  • Lightning's Gage Goncalves: Ruled out Saturday

Goncalves (lower body) will be unavailable against Toronto on Saturday, according to Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.

General manager Julien BriseBois said that Goncalves is day-to-day. The 25-year-old forward will miss his third straight game after he was injured Feb. 28 against the Sabres. Goncalves has seven goals and 20 points over 54 games this season. It's unclear if he will be ready to return against Buffalo on Sunday.
