  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Nets 10th goal of season

McMann scored a goal in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.

It was McMann's 10th of the season. For all his ups and downs, he's on pace to deliver a better offensive season than 2024-25 (20 goals, 14 assists; 74 games). McMann is on pace to deliver 23 goals, 40 points and 175 hits, which makes him a bottom-of-the-roster play in deep leagues.

  • Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Rare goal in win

Lorentz scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-3 win over Pittsburgh.

Lorentz put the Leafs up 3-1 early in the second period. He stole the puck from Erik Karlsson in the defensive zone and took off on a breakaway, eventually stuffing in his own rebound past Stuart Skinner. It was a nice effort by Lorentz, but his fantasy value is limited to his ability to lay hits. He has 64 in 29 games; the goal was his fourth of the season (six assists).

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Out again Tuesday

Marchessault (lower body) won't play Tuesday versus the Wild, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Marchessault will miss his third straight game due to the injury. The 34-year-old will have the holiday break to heal up before the Predators continue their road trip Saturday in St. Louis.

  • Max Domi C | TOR

Maple Leafs' Max Domi: Snaps 23-game goal drought

Domi scored a goal and added an assist Tuesday in a 6-3 win over the Penguins.

The goal ended a 23-game drought. Domi carried the puck through the neutral zone while 4-on-4, got around the defender at the top of the left circle and fired the puck past Stuart Skinner's blocker to give the Leafs a 4-3 lead at 11:35 of the third period. Domi looked inspired Tuesday, which was a nice change from recent outings. We need to see more from him to suggest he's a fantasy option -- 23 games is a long time.

  • Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Gets AHL weekly honor

Dries was named the AHL Player of the Week on Monday.

Dries is one of many players having an excellent year for AHL Grand Rapids. Last week, he accumulated two goals, four assists and a plus-8 rating over three appearances. He's at 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) over 22 appearances this season. However, he continues to wait for a call-up opportunity.

  • Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Expected back before Olympic break

Karlsson (lower body) is set to return prior to the Olympic break, Sin Bin Vegas reports Tuesday.

Karlsson may be in danger of missing the Olympic tournament if Sweden doesn't keep a roster spot open for him. The Knights didn't provide a more concrete recovery timeline for Karlsson, but mid-to-late January seems the most likely timeline to give him enough time to head to Milan.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Remains day-to-day

Eichel (lower body) is still day-to-way and won't play against San Jose on Tuesday, Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now reports.

Eichel will miss his fourth straight game, but he has some additional time to recover before Vegas hosts Colorado on Saturday. He has compiled 12 goals, 41 points and 117 shots on net over 31 appearances this season.

  • Ben Jones C | MIN

Wild's Ben Jones: Returned to AHL

Jones was assigned to AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Minnesota activated Zach Bogosian (lower body) from injured reserve in a corresponding move. Jones hasn't earned a point in 20 NHL appearances this season while contributing 17 shots on goal, seven blocked shots and 47 hits. He has two assists in three AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Not playing Tuesday

Kozak (upper body) won't play against Ottawa on Tuesday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Kozak participated in Tuesday's morning skate, but he will miss his third straight game. He has chipped in two goals, four points, 19 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 62 hits across 24 appearances this season.

  • Kraken's Frederick Gaudreau: Rare power-play goal in win

Gaudreau scored a power-play goal on two shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Ducks.

Gaudreau netted his second goal of the season to open the scoring at 4:49 of the second period. The 32-year-old forward has been playing right wing on a line with Chandler Stephenson and Eeli Tolvanen lately, which has been Seattle's best trio in recent games. Gaudreau is up to seven points, 20 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 21 appearances and will be relied on as a two-way forward with a steady spot in the lineup.
