  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Set to miss time

Nazar (upper body) is expected to miss roughly four weeks following his injury in Saturday's game versus the Senators, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times

That timeline isn't set in stone, but the Blackhawks will now be without both Nazar and Connor Bedard (upper body) for a while. Dominic Toninato may get the first chance to enter the lineup, but players like Nick Lardis and Ryan Donato may be poised for the biggest bumps in ice time.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Lands on IR

Jarvis (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

In a corresponding move, Carolina brought up Bradly Nadeau from AHL Chicago. Jarvis suffered the injury in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to Florida. He will miss at least the next two games, starting with Saturday's matchup against Tampa Bay, after moving to the IR list. However, it seems as though he could be out for longer than that. Jarvis has generated 19 goals, 29 points, 110 shots on net and 43 hits through 34 appearances this season.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

    Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Unavailable Saturday

Kozak (upper body) won't play against the Islanders on Saturday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Kozak will miss at least one game after getting hurt in Thursday's 5-3 win over Philadelphia. He has contributed two goals, four points, 19 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 62 hits across 24 appearances this season.

  • Frank Nazar C | CHI

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Exits Saturday's game

Nazar (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game against Ottawa.

Nazar took the puck to his chin or cheek area and sported a nasty cut as he went to the locker room. He has been filling in as Chicago's first-line center due to the absence of Connor Bedard (upper body). If Nazar and Nick Foligno (hand) are unavailable for Tuesday's matchup against Philadelphia, Dominic Toninato could draw back into the lineup.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Suffers injury Saturday

Miller sustained an upper-body injury in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over Philadelphia, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Miller left the game in the third period after being hit by Philadelphia defender Nick Seeler. The 32-year-old Miller appeared to hurt his right arm or shoulder on the play. He still needs to be evaluated, making it unclear if he will play in Sunday's matchup against Nashville. If Miller is unavailable versus the Predators, Taylor Raddysh or Jonny Brodzinski could enter the lineup.

  • David Kampf C | WAS

Canucks' David Kampf: Nets opening goal

Kampf scored a goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.

Kampf's marker was his first goal and point since he signed with the Canucks after parting ways with the Maple Leafs via contract termination in November. The 30-year-old has been pressed into significant usage, averaging 15:28 of ice time over 14 appearances, but his playing time will shrink as the Canucks get healthier. Kampf has added 11 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 10 hits so far.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Pots goal Friday

Staal scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked three shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Panthers.

Staal continues to put together a strong December with three goals and three assists over nine outings this month. The 37-year-old center opened the scoring at 11:53 of the first period. He's up to 10 goals, 14 points, 44 shots on net, 51 hits, 23 PIM, 17 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 31 appearances. Staal has a little extra fantasy value lately, as he's featured on the second power-play unit throughout December.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Collects two helpers

Rodrigues logged two assists, six shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Hurricanes.

Rodrigues had a lower-body injury scare Wednesday, but he didn't end up missing a game. He snapped his three-game slump Friday, and he earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 24 versus the Predators. The 32-year-old forward is up to eight goals, 10 helpers, 78 shots on net, 36 hits, 16 PIM and a plus-2 rating across 34 contests.

  • Canadiens' Phillip Danault: Set to join team Tuesday

Danault (illness) is expected to join the Canadiens on Tuesday ahead of the team's game against Boston, according to Eric Engels of Sportsnet on Saturday.

Danault has been dealing with an illness, but he may also need to settle his work visa situation before being eligible to play. He has accounted for five assists, 42 shots on goal, 11 blocked shots and 22 hits across 30 appearances this season. Montreal acquired the 32-year-old forward from the Kings on Friday.

  • Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Not available Saturday

Dvorak (lower body) will miss Saturday's clash versus the Rangers.

Dvorak has moved to the top line and has been a force offensively of late, scoring once and adding six assists in his last seven games. He has seven goals and 23 points in 33 games this season, all at even strength. Dvorak could return as early as Monday against Vancouver.
