  • Canadiens' Phillip Danault: Tips in goal

Danault scored a goal in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Sharks.

Danault got a piece of a Mike Matheson shot for the Canadiens' second goal. This was Danault's second tally in the last four contests. The 33-year-old center is up to four goals, 15 points, 74 shots on net, 42 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 54 appearances between the Canadiens and the Kings this season. Danault's defensive work will keep him in the lineup, but he's only good for modest offense most of the time.

  • Canadiens' Oliver Kapanen: Opens scoring in loss

Kapanen scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Sharks.

Kapanen saw just 9:55 of ice time in this contest, continuing a downward trend in his usage since the Olympic break. The 22-year-old has a second-line spot on the depth chart, but Phillip Danault and Jake Evans are likely to be leaned on more as shutdown centers in close games. Kapanen has three goals over his last six games, and the 22-year-old is up to 19 tallies, 32 points, 106 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 60 appearances this season.

  • Alex Newhook C | MON

Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Scores twice in loss

Newhook scored two goals on three shots in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Sharks.

Newhook had a breakout campaign in the works before a long-term ankle injury, and he has picked up where he left off while notching four points over three games since his return. The 25-year-old forward is up to eight goals, 16 points, 28 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-9 rating over 20 appearances this season. He's in a bottom-six role for now, though he's also seeing power-play time, so there is still a bit of upside.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Fills empty cage

Gaudette scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Canadiens.

Gaudette had been scratched for the first three games coming out of the Olympic break. He returned to the lineup with a goal, potting the empty-netter to fend off the Canadiens late. Gaudette has 14 goals, 21 points, 69 shots on net, 41 hits, 17 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 46 appearances this season. He's in a part-time role but offers some scoring upside when the Sharks are facing weaker goalies or defenses.

  • Sharks' Michael Misa: Goals in three straight games

Misa scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Canadiens.

This was Misa's third straight game with a goal, and he's earned five points over his last four outings. The 19-year-old looks to be getting more comfortable in a middle-six role for the Sharks, though his ice time is still often limited. Misa has five goals, 13 points, 30 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over 22 appearances as a rookie.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Tallies in high-scoring win

Wennberg scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Canadiens.

Wennberg has scored in two of the Sharks' last three games. The 31-year-old center continues to fill a middle-six role, providing some depth scoring and overall stability to a young roster. He's now at 12 goals, 39 points, 71 shots on net, 75 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 59 appearances for the season.

  • Will Smith C | SJ

Sharks' Will Smith: Collects two points

Smith scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Canadiens.

Smith has two goals and two assists over his last three outings. The 20-year-old forward's goal wasn't quite enough -- it gave the Sharks a 5-2 lead that they couldn't keep, but they won in the end. Smith has been in a top-six role for the vast majority of the campaign, and he hasn't looked out of place so far. He's up to 19 goals, 43 points (13 on the power play), 113 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through 46 appearances. His production is roughly equal to what he did in 74 outings as a rookie last year, so there has been ample growth in his play in 2025-26.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Racks up four points in win

Celebrini scored a goal on seven shots and added three assists in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Canadiens.

Celebrini reached the 30-goal mark with his second-period tally. He's collected six points over his last three outings while continuing to shine in a top-line role. The 19-year-old superstar is up to 87 points (25 on the power play), 209 shots on net, 38 blocked shots, 32 hits, 34 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 59 appearances. Barring an injury or a deep slump, he's poised for a 100-point campaign.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Hits 100-point mark

MacKinnon registered an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.

The helper was MacKinnon's 100th point of the season, a milestone he's reached in four straight seasons. He's the second player in the league to hit that mark in 2025-26, trailing only Connor McDavid (105) in the Art Ross Trophy race. MacKinnon has 41 goals, 59 helpers, 269 shots on net, 48 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-54 rating over 59 appearances this season.

  • Jack Drury C | COL

Avalanche's Jack Drury: Dishes pair of helpers

Drury logged two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.

Drury helped out on both of Parker Kelly's goals in this contest. The 26-year-old Drury has mostly filled a third-line role this season, but that could be a spot the Avalanche try to upgrade before Friday's trade deadline. He snapped a six-game point drought Tuesday and now has 21 points, 71 shots on net, 50 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 60 appearances on the year. Drury's career high is 27 points from 74 games in the 2023-24 regular season with the Hurricanes.
