Golden Knights' Mateo Nobert: Three assists in playoff opener
Nobert recorded three assists in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 5-3 win in Game 1 over Victoriaville on Friday.
Nobert put up 30 goals and 48 helpers over 62 regular-season outings, and he's kept up his strong playmaking to begin the playoffs. The Armada will likely make a decent run this spring, so Nobert should have plenty of time to get used to postseason action. He had six points over 11 contests across his first two junior playoff runs.

Rangers' Jonny Brodzinski: Scores twice in win
Brodzinski scored two goals on three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Brodzinski has been a part-time player since late January. He snapped a six-game point drought with this performance, a span in which he was also scratched five times. On the year, Brodzinski is up to six goals, 13 points, 51 shots on net, 37 hits and a minus-3 rating over 47 appearances. Even if he sticks in the lineup, the 32-year-old is likely to remain in a bottom-six spot.

Peyton Krebs C | BUF
Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Garners assist Friday
Krebs recorded an assist and four hits in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings.
Krebs hasn't scored in March, and his goal drought is up to 14 games since he tallied Feb. 27 against the Panthers. He has six helpers during the slump, and he's also back on the top line at even strength, which gives him a little more scoring potential than he had earlier in the month in a bottom-six capacity. Krebs is at nine goals, 34 points, 78 shots on net, 170 hits, 76 PIM, 37 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 73 appearances in what's been a career year for him.

For the season, the 28-year-old center is up to 37 goals, 75 points, 246 shots on net, 75 hits, 44 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 73 appearances. Kasper snapped a six-game slump with his first-period tally, which stood as the game-winner. He's had trouble getting consistent offense this season, which includes March, a month in which he's earned two goals and two assists over 12 outings. The 21-year-old forward is up to eight goals, 17 points, 115 shots on net, 167 hits, 46 blocked shots, 31 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 71 appearances. Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Four points in QMJHL playoff opener
Ryabkin scored twice and added two assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 5-3 win in Game 1 over Quebec on Friday.
Ryabkin made an impact in his playoff debut. It's no surprise he's already putting up some offense in the playoffs after lighting up the QMJHL for 13 goals and 42 points over 20 regular-season contests. The Hurricanes prospect will look to lead Charlottetown on a deep run. He'll likely be a candidate to play in the AHL in 2026-27.

Ostlund (upper body) won't play versus the Red Wings on Friday, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
Ostlund didn't take the ice for pregame warmups after missing practice Thursday. He was in attendance for the morning skate Friday, but he'll miss at least one game to recover from the injury. It's unclear if he'll return Saturday versus the Kraken.
