  • Noel Acciari C | PIT

Penguins' Noel Acciari: Set to miss at least three weeks

The Penguins announced Wednesday that Acciari (upper body) will miss a minimum of three weeks.

Acciari was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, and he's facing a multi-week absence due to an upper-body injury that he sustained against the Maple Leafs on Monday. Justin Brazeau (upper body) is slated to miss a minimum of four weeks, so Danton Heinen should have an opportunity to step up for the Penguins after being recalled Tuesday.

  • Noah Ostlund C | BUF

Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Pots first goal

Ostlund scored his first career NHL goal in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Skating in his 13th career game, and his fifth this season, Ostlund got a dose of good fortune to light the lamp for the first time. His initial shot from the slot sailed over the net, only for the puck to bounce into the air off the glass and wind up landing right at Ostlund's feet for a second chance. He tied the game midway through the third period. The 16th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft hasn't been able to establish himself at the top level yet. However, he's had no trouble making an impact in the AHL, getting his promotion this season after recording two goals and seven points in six games for Rochester. With a spot in the middle six and on the second power-play unit, Ostlund could begin to make his mark for Buffalo as well.

  • Akil Thomas C | STL

Kings' Akil Thomas: Two points in AHL win

Thomas scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Ontario's 2-1 overtime win over San Jose on Tuesday.

Thomas is up to seven points over 10 games for Ontario this year, though he has three multi-point efforts. It would be good to see a little more consistency from the 25-year-old. It's unclear if he'll get a chance at the NHL level this season -- he could if injuries arise for the Kings, but he might benefit from a change of scenery at this point in his career.

  • Kyle MacLean C | NYI

Islanders' Kyle MacLean: Produces assist in shootout loss

MacLean logged an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Bruins.

The helper was MacLean's first point in nine appearances this season. He began the year as a healthy scratch but has worked his way into steady fourth-line minutes while Max Shabanov(upper body) has been out. MacLean has added seven shots on net, 14 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-4 rating this season. He's unlikely to get enough ice time to make a positive impact in fantasy.

  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Tallies on power play in loss

Luostarinen scored a power-play goal, added four PIM and logged four hits in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Ducks.

Luostarinen's offense is warming up -- he's earned all five of his points (two goals, three assists) over the last six games. The 27-year-old winger is also in a top-six role with power-play time currently, which gives him a better chance of sustaining his recent success. Through 13 outings, he's produced 20 shots on net, 33 hits, six PIM and a minus-1 rating. Should Luostarinen remain in the power-play mix, he has the potential to have a breakout season as a power winger.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Goal, assist in loss

Rodrigues scored a goal, added a power-play assist and doled out three hits in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Ducks.

This was Rodrigues' first multi-point effort of the season. He also left the game after taking a high hit from Leo Carlsson early in the third period, but Rodrigues was able to return before the end of the contest. He has four points over his last four games and a total of three goals, five assists, 27 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-2 rating through 13 appearances.

  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Two assists before ejection

Carlsson notched two assists and 15 PIM in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Panthers.

Carlsson helped out on two of Cutter Gauthier's three goals in this contest. However, in the third period, Carlsson was given a major penalty and a game misconduct for interference when the Duck center's shoulder caught Evan Rodrigues up high. The 20-year-old Carlsson doesn't have a history of dangerous hits, and it's unclear if any supplemental discipline will follow. He's posted three goals and nine assists during a seven-game point streak, giving Carlsson five goals, 13 helpers, 28 shots on net, 17 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 12 contests this season.

  • Ducks' Jansen Harkins: Tacks on goal

Harkins scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Panthers.

This was Harkins' third appearance in the last four games. He missed nearly three weeks to begin the season due to an upper-body injury, but he's become a regular in the lineup due to the absences of Mikael Granlund (lower body) and Ryan Strome (upper body). Harkins has registered four shots on net, 11 hits, two blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over three outings while playing on the fourth line.

  • Ducks' Nikita Nesterenko: One of each in win

Nesterenko scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Panthers.

Nesterenko's goal late in the second period stood as the game-winner, and he also helped out on a Chris Kreider tally in the third. This was just the second game out of 10 that Nesterenko has earned a point, but both have been multi-point efforts with the winger racking up a goal and five helpers. He's also put up nine shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-5 rating so far. Nesterenko isn't seeing much power-play time and is in a middle-six role at even strength, but he could be worth a look in deeper formats if he can find a bit more consistency.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Tallies in Tuesday's loss

Point scored a goal on four shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Prior to his third-period tally, Point had been limited to three helpers over his last eight games. The 29-year-old brought the Lightning within a goal, but they couldn't find an equalizer. Point is up to three goals, six helpers, 28 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 13 appearances in an unusually quiet start to the season. He's been above a point-per-game pace in each of the three previous campaigns, so fantasy managers should be patient with the star center.
