  • Predators' Fedor Svechkov: Contributes assist Monday

Svechkov logged an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canucks.

Svechkov was credited with a helper on Michael Bunting's third-period tally to pull the Predators within a goal. The helper was Svechkov's first point of the season. The 22-year-old center plays more of a defensive role on the third line, but he was scratched for a couple of games last week due to his slow start to the year. He's added 20 shots on net, six hits and a minus-3 rating across 12 appearances so far.

  • Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Gets on scoresheet Monday

Tomasino provided an assist in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Tomasino has filled a part-time role this season, appearing in just six of the Penguins' first 14 games. The 24-year-old forward is unlikely to see much more than middle-six usage and minimal power-play time, though he could have a steadier role during the absences of Justin Brazeau (upper body), Rickard Rakell (hand) and Noel Acciari (upper body). Tomasino has added eight shots on net, eight hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-1 rating so far this year.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Tallies game-winner Monday

McMann scored the game-winning goal and added four hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.

Pittsburgh led 3-0 after two periods, but McMann had the fourth and final goal in a span of 10:12 for the Maple Leafs that flipped the game around in the third. The tally ended an eight-game skid for McMann, who still had 10 shots and 23 hits in that span. The 29-year-old may be a little streaky at times, but he's getting steady middle-six minutes. His recent slump has cost him a power-play role for now, but he could get it back if he warms up. For the season, McMann has four points, 21 shots, 41 hits and a plus-1 rating over 13 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Considered day-to-day

Brindley (concussion) is day-to-day and won't play against Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Meghan Angley of Guerilla Sports reports.

Brindley will miss his second straight game, but he might be available to return against Edmonton on Saturday or versus Vancouver on Sunday. He has chipped in one goal, one assist, 12 shots on net and 12 hits across 12 appearances this season. Due to Brindley's absence, Tristen Nielsen could make his NHL debut against the Lightning on Tuesday.

  • Radek Faksa C | DAL

Stars' Radek Faksa: Game-time call Tuesday

Faksa (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's home matchup against the Oilers, per Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine.

It's not clear when Faksa got nicked up, as he was right below his average ice time in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Florida. The 33-year-old picked up three hits in 11:55 of game action in that contest. If Faksa can't suit up Tuesday, then Dallas might have to run with 11 forwards and seven blueliners, unless the team brings someone up from the minors on short notice to fill the potential void up front.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Two points in win Monday

Beniers scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 3-1 win over Chicago.

Beniers gave the Kraken a two-goal lead at 7:36 of the second period with a wrister on the power play. He'd later added another point when setting up Jordan Eberle's third-period tally. The lack of offensive consistency hurts Beniers' upside. He has eight points in 12 games, but he's failed to crack the scoresheet in four of Seattle's last six contests.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Scores, assists in return

Thomas recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 win over the Oilers.

Thomas returned to the lineup in style, assisting on Dalibor Dvorsky's first-ever NHL goal and then scoring late in the second frame to even things up. Thomas, who missed four games due to an upper-body injury from Oct. 25-Nov. 1, has picked things up right where he left off before the injury. Thomas has shown up on the scoresheet in each of his past four appearances, tallying one goal and five assists over that stretch.

  • Oilers' Jack Roslovic: Pots another PP goal

Roslovic scored a power-play goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Blues.

Roslovic has found the back of the net with the man advantage in back-to-back contests. He has three goals on the year, though all of those markers have come over a prolific stretch that has seen him crack the scoresheet in four of the Oilers' last five games (three goals, two assists). He's certainly leaving his slow start to the season in the past.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Might play Thursday

Head coach Lindy Ruff conveyed that he wouldn't rule Kozak (lower body) out for Thursday's home game versus the Blues, according to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Kozak is set to miss his fifth consecutive game Tuesday against Utah, but he's certainly closing in on returning to the lineup. The 22-year-old will need to be activated off injured reserve in order to suit up, but when that happens, he should slot back into a bottom-six role.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Unlikely to play Thursday

Kulich looks poised to miss Thursday's clash with the Blues with an ear injury, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Kulich looks set to miss at least the next two games for the Sabres, which could make him a candidate for injured reserve if the team needs a roster spot. Prior to getting hurt, the 21-year-old center was mired in a four-game goal drought during which he recorded a mere four shots. If Kulich doesn't start shooting the puck more, he may be hard-pressed to match his 15-goal total from last year.
