  • Jack Drury C | COL

Avalanche's Jack Drury: Gets goal in win

Drury scored a goal on five shots and added four hits in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

Drury has a goal and an assist over his last two games. The Avalanche are nearly fully healthy up front with just Nicolas Roy (upper body) unavailable. Drury will remain in the lineup in a bottom-six capacity and serve as a faceoff specialist -- he won 11 of 12 draws yesterday and is winning faceoffs at a 59.2 percent clip on the year, which is 10th among players with at least 100 faceoffs taken. Drury has added a career-high nine goals with 23 points, 85 shots on net, 53 blocked shots, 43 hits, 29 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 71 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Scores twice in win

MacKinnon scored two goals on seven shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

MacKinnon's pair of third-period tallies ended up being enough to lift the Avalanche to the win. His first goal, a power-play marker 13 seconds into the frame, gave them the lead, and he added a critical insurance goal at 3:55 of the period. MacKinnon remains dominant with five goals and 13 points over his last eight outings. For the season, he's at 48 goals, 117 points, 310 shots on net, 52 hits, 33 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-57 rating through 70 contests.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Sets career high in points

Scheifele scored twice on four shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Scheifele had the first and last goals in the game, but the Avalanche potted three in between his tallies. With the two-goal effort, Scheifele reset his career high in points for the second year in a row. He's now at 88 (34 goals, 54 assists) through 72 appearances with 157 shots on net, 39 blocked shots, 30 hits, 31 PIM and a plus-4 rating. At 33 years old, he won't keep growing his offense forever, but he has done well to defy the aging curve so far.

  • Flyers' Denver Barkey: Pots goal in win

Barkey scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Barkey was in his second game back after missing two contests due to an upper-body injury. The 20-year-old forward is up to to four goals, 12 points, 36 shots on net, 36 hits and a minus-10 rating over 34 appearances this season. Barkey was papered to AHL Lehigh Valley at the trade deadline, so he is eligible to play in that league's playoffs if the Flyers fall short in their pursuit of a postseason berth.

  • Flyers' Sean Couturier: Lights lamp Thursday

Couturier scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Couturier has tallied in back-to-back contests. The 33-year-old is currently in a bottom-six role, so his chances of sustaining offense aren't great, though he has the experience to provide decent depth scoring. He's up to nine goals, 31 points, 106 shots on net, 72 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 68 appearances.

  • Matt Duchene C | DAL

Stars' Matt Duchene: Nets lone goal in loss

Duchene scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders.

Duchene's goal at 17:01 of the third period denied Ilya Sorokin a shutout, but the Stars couldn't complete the comeback. With the tally, Duchene is on a four-game point streak (one goal, three assists). The 35-year-old center continues to play well in a second-line role -- he's up to 36 points, 72 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 47 appearances this season.

  • Islanders' Calum Ritchie: Tallies game-winner Thursday

Ritchie scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Stars.

Ritchie's foot deflected a Matthew Schaefer shot at 2:19 of the third period, and that goal was the difference in this game. The 21-year-old Ritchie has scored in consecutive contests and has four goals and three assists over his last 10 outings. For the season, he has 11 tallies (four game-winners), 23 points, 67 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 56 appearances, mainly in a second-line role.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Elevated from minors

Morrison was recalled from AHL Coachella on Friday.

Morrison was promoted under emergency conditions, which would seem to indicate that neither Jared McCann (lower body) nor Ryan Winterton (personal) will be available versus the Sabres on Saturday. If Morrison does suit up, it would be his first taste of NHL action since 2023-24, when he logged four games with the Kraken.

  • Jets' Danny Zhilkin: Recalled from AHL

Zhilkin was summoned from AHL Manitoba on an emergency basis Friday.

Zhilkin played four games earlier in the year with the Jets and was unable to garner a point. The rookie center had 11 goals and 11 assists in 54 AHL games before his recall. Morgan Barron is in the concussion protocol, which resulted in Zhilkin being brought up from the minors.

  • Parker Ford C | WPG

Jets' Parker Ford: Promoted from minors

Ford was called up from AHL Manitoba on Friday on an emergency basis.

Ford's elevation to the NHL roster, in addition to that of Danny Zhilkin, doesn't bode well for the availability of Morgan Barron (concussion) against the Avs on Saturday. With the Jets bringing up two forwards ahead of their four-game road trip, there is no guarantee the 25-year-old Ford will get into the lineup.
