  • Predators' Jake Lucchini: Put on waivers

Lucchini was shifted to waivers Monday, according to PuckPedia.

Lucchini had 21 goals and 45 points in 70 games for AHL Milwaukee during the 2024-25 campaign before adding one tally and four assists in 10 playoff outings. He also registered two shots on goal and two hits in three NHL regular-season appearances with the Predators. If he clears waivers, he could be in the minors for the majority of the year.

  • Joe Labate C | VAN

Canucks' Joseph LaBate: Lands on waivers

LaBate was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Monday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports.

LaBate was unable to secure a spot on Vancouver's Opening Night roster after signing a two-way contract with the team in July. He made 51 regular-season appearances for AHL Cleveland last year, and he recorded eight goals, 13 assists and 81 PIM. If he clears waivers, he'll presumably head back to the AHL for the start of the regular season.

  • Rangers' Justin Dowling: Placed on waivers Monday

Dowling (lower body) was designated for waivers by the Rangers on Monday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports.

Dowling's pending shift to the minors, assuming he clears waivers, indicates that his lower-body injury is behind him. Despite playing in 52 regular-season games for the Devils last year, the 34-year-old center will likely spend the majority of the upcoming campaign in the minors but figures to be on the shortlist of call-ups should the team need a forward.

  • Mason Shaw C | WPG

Jets' Mason Shaw: Lands on waivers

Shaw was placed on waivers Monday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports.

Shaw produced 17 goals and 37 points in 72 appearances with AHL Manitoba in 2024-25. If he clears waivers, he will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign with Winnipeg's top minor-league affiliate.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Won't play after all

Stephenson (undisclosed) won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Flames, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

A previous report listed Stephenson on the roster for Monday's preseason matchup, but the 31-year-old has now been ruled out as he continues to deal with an undisclosed injury. His final chance to suit up during the preseason will be Wednesday against Edmonton, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to play. Although Stephenson is considered day-to-day, whether his injury will force him to miss time to begin the regular season remains to be seen.

  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Lands on waivers

Brind'Amour was designated for waivers Monday in order to reassign him to AHL Chicago, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Brind'Amour has played in just two NHL games in his career, logging one goal, one shot and two PIM in those contests. The 26-year-old center put up decent numbers in 2024-25 with the Wolves, generating 16 goals and eight assists in 68 regular-season outings. Still, he'll need to perform better than that to force his way onto the Hurricanes' roster.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

    Rangers' J.T. Miller: Being evaluated

Miller (lower body) is being evaluated after leaving Monday's practice early, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

According to Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic, Miller made it off the ice under his own power, but appeared to be favoring his leg after lunging for the puck during a drill. The team will probably be cautious with the 32-year-old forward, so it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't play again during the preseason. Miller amassed 22 goals and 70 points in 72 regular-season outings between the Rangers and Canucks in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Set to play Monday

Stephenson (undisclosed) is expected to be available for Monday's preseason game against the Flames, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Stephenson was deemed day-to-day by the Kraken due to an undisclosed injury late last week, but he's on the roster ahead of Monday's preseason matchup, signaling that he should be ready to return to game action. Stephenson made 78 regular-season appearances during his first season with the Kraken last year, recording 13 goals, 38 assists, 50 blocked shots, 33 hits and 24 PIM while averaging 19:31 of ice time.

  • Rangers' Justin Dowling: Remains unavailable again Monday

Dowling (lower body) will not be available to face the Islanders on Monday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Dowling was working with the non-game group, so it's possible that he will be ready in time to face the Devils on Thursday. Given the Rangers' forward depth, Dowling figures to be a long shot to make the Opening Night roster and likely will have to play the bulk of his games in the minors with AHL Hartford.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Not on Monday's roster

Jankowski (undisclosed) won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Panthers, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Jankowski has been limited throughout training camp this year, and he'll be forced to miss the Hurricanes' penultimate preseason game due to his undisclosed injury. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but he should still have an opportunity to make the Opening Night roster.
