Evan Rodrigues C | FLA
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Won't play Monday
Rodrigues (undisclosed), as expected, won't be in action to face the Hurricanes on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
While Rodrigues' absence was deemed minor and something he might play through in the regular season, it seems unlikely he will feature in Tuesday's matchup with the Lightning either, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. With Aleksander Barkov (knee) likely to miss the entire 2025-26 regular season, Rodrigues could push for a steady spot in the top six.

Acciari (abdomen) will not be available for Monday's preseason game against the Red Wings.

Macklin Celebrini C | SJ
Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Set to return
Celebrini (undisclosed) participated in Sunday's practice and appears to be available to return to the lineup, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
After recovering from an illness, Celebrini has been sticking to his own program during training camp practices. He hasn't been involved in many contact drills, but he skated with assistant coach Mike Ricci tethered to him during Sunday's session, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now. The 19-year-old Celebrini should see preseason playing time ahead of being ready for the regular season.

Jared McCann C | SEA
Kraken's Jared McCann: Resumes skating
McCann (lower body) skated away from the main group Sunday and should be ready for the start of the regular season, Sound of Hockey reports.
While McCann may sit out the remainder of the exhibition schedule, he is trending toward playing against Anaheim on Oct. 9. He compiled 22 goals, 61 points and 202 shots on net across 82 games during the 2024-25 regular season. Once healthy, McCann will probably occupy a top-six role and see power-play time.
