  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Back at practice

Celebrini (illness) participated in Tuesday's practice, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Celebrini missed a few days of training camp sessions due to an illness. He compiled 25 goals and 63 points over 70 games during his rookie campaign in 2024-25. The 19-year-old forward will likely serve on the top line and first power-play unit this season.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Maple Leafs' Nicolas Roy: Unavailable against Ottawa

Roy (lower body) won't play in Tuesday's home exhibition matchup against the Senators.

Roy wasn't able to practice Saturday, and it's not clear how he's progressing in his recovery. The right-shot center's next chance to return to game action will be in Montreal on Thursday.

  • Josh Lopina: Cut from camp roster

Lopina was released from his professional tryout Tuesday and will report to AHL Charlotte.

Lopina was quite the long shot to make the Opening Night roster coming out of training camp, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him being released this early. Without an NHL deal, Lopina won't be eligible to be called up from the minors, so look for him to play the entire 2025-26 campaign with the Checkers.

  • Max Domi C | TOR

Maple Leafs' Max Domi: Won't play Tuesday

Domi (lower body) will not be in the lineup versus the Senators on Tuesday while attending a family funeral, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Domi returned to practice Sunday and certainly seems to be nearing a return from his lower-body injury. The absence of Domi will give youngsters Luke Haymes and Easton Cowan a chance to get into a preseason game. If Domi is back in time, he could rejoin the lineup versus Montreal on Thursday.

  • Nico Sturm C | MIN

Wild's Nico Sturm: Ruled out Tuesday

Sturm (back) will not play versus the Stars on Tuesday.

Sturm played in just 62 games for the Panthers and Sharks last season, so any injury will certainly be a concern for the 30-year-old center. As of now, there shouldn't be too many concerns that the German won't be ready in time for Opening Night, though his role as a fourth-line center likely doesn't have him on most fantasy radars.

  • Nic Dowd C | LV

Capitals' Nic Dowd: Won't practice Tuesday

Dowd will miss Tuesday's training camp session due to personal reasons, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Dowd has been nothing but consistent for the Caps over the last four years, reaching both the 10-goal and 20-point thresholds in each of the previous four seasons. It should be more of the same from the veteran center this year, as he figures to remain in a bottom-six role while seeing time on the penalty kill.

  • Mammoth's Barrett Hayton: Considered day-to-day

Hayton (undisclosed) is day-to-day, per Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports on Monday.

Hayton will likely be brought along slowly during training camp to ensure he is 100 percent before Opening Night against Colorado on Oct. 9. He should be in the mix for a top-six role this campaign after collecting 20 goals and 46 points in 82 regular-season games last year.

  • Jack McBain C | UTA

    Mammoth's Jack McBain: Considered day-to-day

Head coach Andre Tourigny said Monday that McBain is considered day-to-day due to an undisclosed injury, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

McBain apparently sustained his injury during Sunday's preseason matchup versus the Avalanche. While he won't suit up during Monday's exhibition game against the Ducks, it doesn't appear as though he's dealing with a long-term injury. His next chance to suit up in the preseason will be Thursday against the Golden Knights.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

    Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Labeled day-to-day

Cooley (undisclosed) was deemed day-to-day ahead of Monday's game versus Anaheim, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

Cooley was injured playing against the Avalanche on Sunday but appears not to have suffered a long-term injury. Still, the 21-year-old center won't be in the mix to face the Ducks. In 75 regular-season games last year, the 21-year-old center set new personal bests in goals (25), assists (40) and power-play points (20). Barring any setbacks, it sounds like Cooley should be ready for Opening Night against Colorado on Oct. 9.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Departs Sunday's game

Cooley (undisclosed) exited Sunday's preseason game versus the Avalanche in the third period and did not return, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

Cooley was boarded by Colorado's Zakhar Bardakov, who received a minor penalty on the play. According to Bagley, Cooley was on the ice for his next shift, but the left-shot center ultimately went to the locker room and did not come back into the game. There was no official update from the Mammoth on the rising star's health postgame, so Cooley's status will be worth monitoring ahead of upcoming fantasy drafts.
