  • Ducks' Jansen Harkins: Could have serious injury

Harkins exited Sunday's preseason outing versus the Kings because of an upper-body injury, and head coach Joel Quenneville said after the game that he isn't optimistic about the forward's status, according to Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Harkins might be set to miss substantial time going forward, as he was spotted leaving the arena with his right arm in a sling, per Lee. Quenneville said the club will know more about Harkins' injury Monday. The 28-year-old registered two goals, six points and 136 hits over 62 appearances in his first season with the Ducks in 2024-25.

  • Brad Lambert C | WPG

Jets' Brad Lambert: Being evaluated for concussion

Lambert did not return to Sunday's preseason game versus the Wild after being removed by the concussion spotter, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Head coach Scott Arniel did not have an update on Lambert's status after the contest, per Wiebe. The Jets' next exhibition game is Tuesday versus the Oilers, and the 21-year-old Lambert's status should be known by then. The 2022 first-round selection notched one assist across five regular-season outings in 2024-25.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

    Kraken's Jared McCann: Considered day-to-day

McCann (lower body) is day-to-day, the team announced Sunday.

McCann could be limited at training camp for a while due to the injury, as the Kraken likely won't rush him back into the lineup for preseason action. He generated 22 goals, 61 points and 202 shots on net across 82 regular-season games last campaign.

  • Max Domi C | TOR

Maple Leafs' Max Domi: Resumes practicing

Domi (lower body) is practicing Sunday for the first time in training camp, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

Domi had been skating almost exclusively with the development staff for the first few days of training camp, but he took part in his first practice with the team Sunday. The 30-year-old figures to be a big part of the Maple Leafs this season, and he seems to be on track to be available for the team's opener Oct. 8. He had 33 points in 74 regular-season games last year.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Won't play Sunday

Celebrini (illness) is feeling better but won't play in Sunday's preseason game against Vegas, per Max Miller of NHL.com.

Celebrini might skate with Sunday's non-game group after missing Saturday's scrimmage, but that hasn't been decided yet. His spot on the Sharks' top line and first power-play unit is already locked, and there should be plenty of time for him to get back up to speed once he's healthy, so it makes sense for San Jose to exercise an abundance of caution.

  • Canadiens' Oliver Kapanen: Back at practice

Kapanen (face) participated in Friday's team scrimmage, per Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette.

Kapanen left Thursday's practice early after being clipped by a high stick, but it wasn't considered to be serious. He had two assists, 16 shots on goal and eight blocked shots across 18 regular-season appearances with the Canadiens in 2024-25. He will compete for a depth role with the team during training camp.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Maple Leafs' Nicolas Roy: Dealing with lower-body injury

Roy (lower body) won't participate in Saturday's practice.

Roy had been skating alongside Dakota Joshua and Easton Cowan in the early stages of training camp. After being acquired from Vegas in the offseason in the sign-and-trade that sent Mitch Marner to Sin City, the 28-year-old Roy will likely center the third line for the Maple Leafs in the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Resumes practicing

Eichel (undisclosed) took part in Friday's practice, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Eichel missed Thursday's skate, but the reason for it was described as "a little tweak" by head coach Bruce Cassidy, which suggests that it was a minor issue, so it's reasonable to believe Eichel is now fine if he's practicing. Vegas would have almost certainly given Eichel additional time off from training camp if he needed it. The 28-year-old had 28 goals and 94 points in 77 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

  • Mammoth's Alex Kerfoot: Week-to-week with lower-body injury

The Mammoth announced Friday that Kerfoot is considered week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

Kerfoot has missed just one regular-season game across the past four years, but he's dealing with an injury during training camp that could threaten his availability for Opening Night against the Avalanche on Oct. 9. Across 81 appearances with Utah last year, he logged 11 goals, 17 assists, 67 blocked shots and 59 hits while averaging 15:15 of ice time. He'll likely continue to occupy a bottom-six role when healthy this season.

  • Lars Eller C | OTT

Senators' Lars Eller: Undergoes minor abdominal surgery

Eller isn't available for the start of training camp after undergoing a minor abdominal surgery, per Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.

No timetable was provided, but if Eller is recovering from surgery, then it wouldn't be surprising if he misses some preseason action. He had 10 goals and 22 points in 80 regular-season appearances between Pittsburgh and Washington.
